  1. Hey all, I'm just looking to get a feel for what people think is the best option. My stats are public, so you can see that I'm a mediocre/middling player. I play every class these days, CVs the least by far. I've got enough coal for any one of the top-tier armory ships right now. I hear the Georgia is really good, nice guns and good secondaries. I've also heard that the Thunderer is an excellent investment, and possibly OP. I don't know what coal ships people are expecting to be released in the near (3-6 months) future, so I don't know if it's worth saving my coal. I still have my coupon thankfully, so that'll help me reduce the cost of whatever I choose somewhat. Right now I play German BBs, German DDs, French BBs, and American Cruisers, and French DDs the most. I'm pretty flexible, just not necessarily great. I thankfully got Nelson and Mushashi for free XP.

    Thunderer vs. Slava

I've finally gotten enough coal for the Thunderer, but should I wait and see what resource the Slava is going to be sold for? After all the nerfing is it still the better option? And when is it going to be released: 9.6, 9.7, or 9.8? Thanks.
  3. I'm curious why there is no 10-pt. European commander available in the armory. Not even a Dasha Perova? Does anyone know if there are plans to add? TIA
  4. The Armory does not work for accounts still working through the New Service Levels. The Armory button appears at New Service Level 11. When it is clicked on a black screen appears. ESC returns to port. This does not happen when I access the armory on an account that has completed the New Service Levels on the same computer and game instance. I have removed all mods, ran WGCheck, and ran patch for Dockyard issue. None of these fixed the issue. WORKAROUND for new players: https://armory.worldofwarships.com/en/ was posted by someone one the Forum. The link gives access to the Armory with a web browser. Another workaround Player Support gave to me that works is to go to the Containers window from the Port, then click GO TO THE ARMORY button on the left side of the screen. That got me into the armory also.
  5. I've been thinking of spending my coal on getting Yoshino as my second tier 10 coal boat, Everyone I asked has been recommending me to get the Thunderer, but I don't feel like playing battleships anymore. So, is it still fun to play Yoshino in the current state of the game? I just want a really fun tier 10 ship like Smolensk and throw HE at everyone.

    Captains for coal

Hi fellow captains, Just a question, is anyone aware if WG intend to add a coupon for the captains in the armory? Apologies if this has been asked or answered already.
  7. Dear WG, I would like to use the coupon on perma-camos for ships i actually play alot, enjoy, and would like some of the cool camos they have/had it real life even. Off the top of my head: Bismarck skins, Kii, Roma, Hood, all the National Camoflages(i foget all those ships) Also, WG, i would probably still spend more dubloons over all, because i would buy so many camos each year. so the house still wins. lol.

    Bayard in Armory

...for how long? How did I miss this?
  9. Allo mein frendz! I recently acquired the Thunderer from the Armory. Now I am grinding coal for the Georgia. My question is will the Georgia still be there after WG issues new Armory coupons in a few weeks? I'm currently sitting at about 42K in coal and even with the new 25% off coupon there is no way I'll have the coal needed to unlock it until mid July. The stress of worrying is killing me. Anyone know when and how the Armory ships are changed? Are changes announced somewhere?
  10. Yea just saving up coal as usual. I wanna get Thunderer but I already have another premium BB, the JB, so I'm kinda iffy on that choice. Another thing I'm considering is getting Kuznetsov for the Petropavlovsk I'm gonna grind for, but Will to Victory seems tailor-made for the Kremlin. Thoughts? Also, any news on upcoming/soon to be added coal ships? Thanks.
  11. (This may just be a Mac issue only, but I'm not certain currently) Basically neither the armory or inventory are accessible to me in the WoWs port. Whenever I click on the inventory it goes "Service is temporarily unavailable due to performance optimization." And when I try to access the armory it simply goes "web server is unavailable". I really dislike having to dig around to find the links to access the armory and inventory via the WoWs website, especially since usually I'm constantly selling unused modules due to silver shortages.

    Got the JB

Just recently got the Jean Bart with coal out of the Armory. Very pleasantly surprised. First ship with all forward facing guns. Just my opinion it's design has a advantage over the other forward facing BB's with the fact there is just two turrets. stacked, so can face directly ahead or slightly angled on bow and still give a "broadside" without having to show broadside. Longer range than anticipated. Just hadn't really researched main battery range. Fairly nimble, reload booster, speed booster. A well designed battlecruiser in my opinion. Smaller calibre rifles is the only reason I say that. A nice compliment of 2ndaries. Overall, I give it a thumbs up. If anybody was thinking of getting it. Speaking personally, I don't think you will regret it.
  13. Tried to load the armory in-game, got the spinning wheel.. it never loaded. I tried the online armory, but there's no option to sign in to see your resources. I signed out of my account, rejoined the game and signed back in. It still loads really slow, but it loads.
  14. So, here is my bid to help continue the growth of the Clan Naval Base. Please be advised these ideas are merely that, spaghetti thrown at the Wall of Wargaming Ideas and hoping something sticks. I am really open to other ideas, input and general considerations from players who may see different benefits from such structures (even if 180 degrees in the opposite direction.) WG Devs...please keep the Clan Base interesting, I love the concept and actually think it should be integrated into/with the Dockyard/Research Bureau (since they are both here to stay). Currently, clans can build the following structures; Officer's Club, Dry Dock, Shipbuilding Yard, Research Center, Design Bureau, Coal Port, Steel Port, Academy, Treasury, and a Rostral Column. My proposal would be to add the following structures; Headquarters Building, Intelligence and Signals Office, Facilities Engineering Bay, Magazines and or Ammunition Depot, Naval Gunnery and Proving Grounds, Machine and or Mechanics Shop, Naval Petroleum Reserve, Oil Refinery, and an Improved Tool Production Shop. Possible Benefits: (Again very open to other ideas to feed to WG Devs) Headquarters Building (Stages 5) - Stage 1 (Clan Leader + 1 Subordinate Officer) Stage 2-5 (+1 Subordinate Officer) each may benefit by receiving a 1 to 5 percent bonus equivalent, whenever giving out Treasury Rewards to Line Officer players. For example, the The Headquarters Building is at Stage 5, and the clan elects to give a Line Officer (Junior Member) 1,000 steel as a reward from the Treasury for a job well done during clan battles. When this is done, each officer in the Headquarters group would receive a five percent bonus to their own steel. So each would receive 50 steel. The same would work for coal. Intelligence and Signals Office (Stages 5) - Cost 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 40,000 oil - Reduce Coal/Silver Costs for the purchase of signals by X percentage with each stage complete in the Armory or Research Bureau. Facilities Engineering Bay (Stages 5) - Cost 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 40,000 oil - Engineers are renown for their ability to develop systems and shortcuts to save money and time. This could be tied directly to future dockyard events. If a dockyard event requires 50,000,000 points to complete within 30 days (example), then perhaps each stage would either reduce the speed at which points tick by 1 percent or reduce the overall completion points number by 1 percent. So a stage 5 Bay would reduce the 50,000,000 requirement to 2,500,000 points (or increase the tick rate of the journey by ~58 points per a minute (round up and make it 60) over the span of 30 days (+2.5 mil points). This would still make events such as the Puerto Rico (challenging) but would provide more incentive to join active clans, play the game, and perhaps, get more players to participate in challenges knowing they have a five percent bonus right off the top. Magazines and Ammunition Depot (Stages 5) - Cost 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 60,000, 90,000 oil - Naval Battles are an interesting concept to earn oil, but seem static and players have lost interest as clan bases are completed. How about these stages help reduce the minimum requirements for the clan to earn the next stage. Each stage completion reduces it the minimum by 2 to 3 percentage points. Therefore, a Stage 5 Depot would reduce the damage requirement from 10,000 minimum to receive a Naval Battles Star to 9,000 to 8,500 and so on. Naval Gunnery & Proving Grounds (Stages 5) - Cost 10,000, 20,000, 40,000, 60,000, 90,000 oil -The proving ground would reduce the cost of ships for sale for resources in the Armory (as these two ideas seem to have a common theme) by a few thousand coal or steel for each structure built. And each stage increases the maximum tier the benefit helps with Stage 5 maxing out at Tier X ships. Again, not sure what percentage maybe 1 percent per a stage. Machine and Mechanics Shop (Stages 5) - Cost 2,500, 5,000, 10,000, 20,000, and 40,000 oil - Enables the construction of Premium Consumables (either permanent for ships that can be built by tier or mass production of the current format). Once complete, these would make X amount of premium consumables a week and they would be added to the clan treasury for distribution by the leadership to other clan members. This would help reduce silver costs for players and reward those who want to be active/clan members/players with better resources. Naval Petroleum Reserve (Stages 4) - Cost 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000 oil - A stockpile of reserves is helpful in times of crisis. Each stage allows a clan to "invest" saved oil, steel or coal for a set period of time and upon realizing this time, it will mature and provide a bonus. For example, the clan invests 20k oil, steel (in treasury), and coal (in treasury) for two months. After two months, those items increase in value by 10 percent. Each stage increases the maximum amount of a certain resource that can be put into investment. For example, Stage 1 is 20,000 oil, 20,000 coal, and 2,000 steel. Stage 2-4 provide an additional 10,000 oil, 5,000 coal, and 500 steel that can be invested (or something along these lines). Oil Refinery (Stages 3) - Cost 80,000 Oil each - Refined oil is better than crude. Each Crate opened provides an additional 1 oil. Each stage improves this by +1. Improved Tool Production Shop (Stages 4) - Cost 10,000, 20,000, 30,000, and 40,000 oil - New tools keep ships moving and help engineers maximize their time. Reduces the time in which Unique Upgrades or other Research Bureau items can be purchased/completed. Again, not sure on the percentage as WG has been elusive on details of how this transition will happen. However, if they are not tying it into the Clan Naval Base, they are missing an opportunity for cohesive team play. In conclusion, the benefits to these additions would get more clan interested in competitive play again as oil is best farmed in Clan and Naval Battles. I think, a few additions would spark renewed interest in clan activities and again give leadership decision challenges moving forward. Thanks for reading.
  15. I'm only into my first 10 games thus far. However, I did learn a good lesson in that passing judgement on a ship based solely on "hard stats," caused me to miss out on a fun experience for a long time. Ever since the Mass has been available, I've always bitten my thumb at her "so to speak." This was mainly due to the fact that she has a very short main gun range "by USN standards," and I also knew her main battery accuracy was pretty not good. Also, I have the Alabama, which has good gun range and pretty decent accuracy. Therefore, it never crossed my mind to get the Mass. However, I got about 20k doubloons in my last round of santa crates. I saw I could get the Mass for 25% off, just under 9800 doubloons in the Armory. Since I do enjoy collecting ships, and getting Mass would give me all 3 t8 USN BBs currently available, I picked her up. I put my old 19pt NC captain in her "since I had him respeced for my Ohio," and off I went. I only managed 80k my first game, but I was playing it safe since it was a t10 game. Third game I was top tier and managed 140k and I don't think I'll have any issues doing a lot more once I get used to her. Basically, I learned that while not great, the main gun accuracy wasn't as "stupidly bad" as I thought it would be. Her secondaries are awesome and I've gotten a good amount of damage out of them every game so far. She also seems to deal with planes just as good as you would expect from a USN capital ship. Long story short, I'm glad I took the gamble picking the Mass up. I think I'm actually going to like her more than the tirpitz and Bismarck and I'll probably try her out in the clan brawl on Saturday.
  16. Since the new set of resource/doubloon coupons are out, wondering what ships would be the best With coal I'm still stuck in the middle as if I should get the Thunderer or Georgia first. I already have Jean Bert and Smolensk For steel, is the flint a good enough ship to use or should I should wait to get more steel for a ship like the neustrashimy. I already have the Stalingrad as my first steel ship. Also what would be a good doubloon ship for 6500 that I can use the coupon on?
  17. Hello everyone! I would like some insight on a ship I have had my eyes on for a while in the armory. That ship is the pride of the Polish navy: the Blyskawica! I know that this ship has been in the game for a long time, and only recently noticed it is available to purchase for coal in the armory, along with Aigle and some other ships as well. I read LittleWhiteMouse's review on the ship, which was posted back in 2017. I realize that the game has changed a lot since then, which is the main reason I am posting this. I would like some more modern insight into the ship, and whether it is worth it. From what I can tell, the guns are the bread and butter of the ship. Seven 120mm anti naval rifles with gun arcs similar to the Soviet DD's (which are my favorite line in the game - Tashkent FTW), and good damage with decent reload. The ship has a lot of health for a tier VII destroyer, and maneuvers quite well with a good amount of speed. Of course, the torpedoes and the AA are trash from what I have heard. This isn't new to me coming from the Soviet destroyers, but I understand for some people it is a deal breaker. The main reason this ship interests me is the similar play style to the Soviet destroyers and that she is overall fun to play from what I have heard. Also have heard she is good for printing credits. So, what do you guys think of the current Blyskawica? Is it worth spending the coal on?

    Camo Suggestion for Armory

After seeing what these Camos look like, is there any way we can get the Type 21 and MS-21 Camos added to the armory? They have the same exact benefits as Ocean Soul, and IMHO, they just look better. It would be awesome to see these two camouflages more readily available in the game.
  19. Thanks to the French DD event and a coupon, I have enough coal to buy either the Yoshi or the Georgia. I'm inclined to pick the Yoshi because 1. T10 for CB, 2. Cruisers are more agreeable to my play style. But the Georgia does seem to have some advantages that negate my usual dislike of BBs: Faster reload and a speed boost. Alternatively, are there any more coal ships in the pipeline I should be waiting for?

    Armory Commander Specialization

In the armory are some (comic book style) commanders, in their description it says they have a "specialization" for a T10 ship. What are the specializations? Can't find any additional info anywhere.
  21. If the PTS is any indication, yes ... several older and a few more recent Collections my may be coming to the Armory ... including the anticipated 3 Year Anniversary.
  22. Hey captains! so I just logged in to check out the new event stuff and am i seeing this right? the new event captains skins are for credits not tokens? or are these some sorta temp captains and will be taken away after the event ends? please list any info you got below. and until next time, I'll c'ya on the Seas!

    Coupon

The Coupon was supposed to resupply today, yes? It is now 12 pm EST and still no coupon. I respectfully ask that we get our coupons. I have a beef dish I've been hankering for ever since I got enough steel for it.
  24. Hello, I am UCCMaster1 I am an average level player. My WTR is 51% and my PR is pretty crap. But I have 3 tier X ships and actively play on a daily basis both on NA server and PTS when its out (I do it because it's an excuse to try out lines I normally don't play, you know, testing). If you're on Notser's discord, you probably have seen me messing around in the weebville/shitposting chat. My question is as follows: So I hear that the Yoshino is coming out soon and want to know: why should I be buying the Yoshino with all my hard earned coal? I'm a cruiser main who plays a lot of Zao (I'm starting to get good at her). So wouldn't the Yoshino be a great addition as well? I also watched Notser's video on Yoshino and got the idea that the ship was poor in survivability but great at HE spam. Basically I need to find a reason why I should not invest in the Yoshino (aka it being a waste of coal). I've been told the Salem isn't worth it and I hated the Richelieu so I didn't think I would like the Jean Bart. Are there other coal ships coming down the line I can be looking forward to?
