inventory sell modules to what affect?

When you sell a module from your inventory how does it affect your ship, if any? Does it affect the ship line in any way? For example if you upgrade your hull and sell the old one will it affect the ship or the line? Thanks for the advice :) -
Standard Modules Needed for Puerto Rico?

Hi gang I still have a chance at some of them that are in Research Bureau.... All the previous posts are quite a little bit outdated.. Can some kind expert :) let us/me know which are really worth either a) 18,200 RB points or b) doing the long - awful 5 step quest (if we still have it, expiring Dec 31st) ==== 1- Are any of the BB ones still worth it ? 2- are any of the DD ones worth it ? I think Gearing is still worth it... 3- as for Cruisers, any of them still worth it ? I know DM's was pretty badly nerfed lately.. Thx all! Jean -
On the early access French DDs, something I almost missed, so maybe some players have missed it. The ships come with all the improved modules (hull, fire control, etc) researched and "purchased", but they do not come with those modules mounted by default. As we all know, on most ships, this can make a big difference in their capabilities and performance. So, before you go into battle, double-check that you've mounted those improved modules.

With the ongoing threats that the broken CV meta and Radar Cruisers pose to Destroyers. How many of you think that making Radar a damageable module would help balance gameplay for DD's? After all, the rotating Radar dish on a ship is a real thing is it not? Just like torpedo tubes, guns (both main battery and secondary), engines, and rudders can be broken. By doing this the destroyer has a better chance of surviving what would normally be a perma spotting situation by CVs and Radar and the ultimate annihilation of DD's in a battle. Any ideas?

After a bit of a spending spree, I have officially got enough credits and free XP to buy the Iowa with all the upgrades researched. When I do, she will be my first tier 9 and I'm very much looking forward to seeing how she performs. However, herein lies the rub: I've crunched the numbers and I've found that after I sell the NC with all its modules and upgrades, purchasing the Iowa will leave me with exactly 8,859,553 credits. Is this enough to buy and equip all her upgrades, fill all of her equipment modules, and retrain my 19 point captain for her without having to buy any more gold or credits from the premium shop? I would figure this out myself, but I can't see the costs of her upgrades without actually buying the ship. Thank you in advance, 1Sherman.
