People need to learn how to play to win.... Really
Cat0Nine replied to Col_Nasty's topic in General Game Discussion
The number of PubG/ CoD players who click the battle button with the sole intention of racking damage and getting kills, while the clock runs out! It's a tactical strategy game. Team loss, but one player had fun. -
Increase CV aircraft carrier fire duration from 5 seconds to 45 seconds. Let it burn, let it burn! Decrease CV aircraft carrier damage control party duration from 60 seconds to 20 seconds. "Hark soft, what light from yonder window breaks?" ... Oh, it's world of warships players calling for positive changes falling of deaf ears. pffft

The time before subs can detect each other at the start of a game is SIX MINUTES
Cat0Nine replied to Cit_the_bed's topic in General Game Discussion
I've tried sub vs sub interaction repeatedly. In almost every case the opposing side's forces depth charge both our submarines to death disallowing the submarine players any engagement. In most cases neither submarine player gets a chance to even try to "dance" with the opposing sub. The ASW duties are almost specifically falling on the battleship players' shoulders. The abolition of team damage was determined particularly because of the duelling submarines closeness. The proposed removal of 2km proximity detection is a response to the lack of interaction between subs, and infact makes perfect sense considering submarines do not spot the object but rather "hear" it. However, when the submarine player activates sonar will their sides forces rain down depth charges on the detected enemy submarine? Can the developers ever find a solution that will ensure submarine players a hunt? -
Auto-Resupply of economic bonuses - Give us a switch!
Cat0Nine replied to SNoB_3's topic in Player Feature and Gameplay Suggestions
Proofreading check - It says, " Bonuses applied to a ship are removed after each battle". This is a misconception. The bonuses persist until YOU remove them, and the sentence is referring to the "consumption" of the bonus with each battle fought. The sentence should be re-phrased to say " bonuses applied to a ship are consumed after each battle" Players could easily get caught overusing their bonuses when they only intended to use ONE battles worth to compliment the 50% first win bonus. -
The destroyer race on Hotspot map sounds interesting, so I tried in the training room ( as you do ). Leningrad. No boost used. 15m 31.9s red path.

The Same issue has occurred twice in my clan's chat window, whereby a paragraph notifying clan captains of an upgraded Expansion of a naval base element simply disappeared soon after, which happened only 2 hours prior to this post, and also a welcome message to a new recruit vanished last week, before the update. Game mods have zero affect- don't ask. EDIT- The two entries on the clan chat box have only just now appeared. 2 days later.

You know, when the commander reserve is at capacity, and a captain is present in the rental ship, the moment the rental expires that captain is forced into the commander reserve with an extra free slot.

Just Now on NA server - 1CV, 5DDs, 2 SSs.
Cat0Nine replied to cammaj's topic in General Game Discussion
At the beginning of my World of Warships experience in 2019 EVERY GAME featured triple aircraft carriers! Only through pure stubbornness did I stay on and persevere to the extent that I learnt to avoid those pesky floating bricks. Tier 4 and 6 were particularly disheartening for this fledgling destroyer commander, with rocket attacks being especially taxing on both patience and morale. "Just Dodge!" had a certain aspect of truth and with every puzzle a solution is meant to be sought and discovered. I prevail! -
Magic Detonations? 4 Detonations in a game
Cat0Nine replied to Coolkid_198's topic in General Game Discussion
The strangest detonations I've had in my destroyers are the ones where my ship is down to its last 1000 hp. I mean, really RNG... do you have to make it so dramatic...!!! [edited] -
This angle of the bow indicator is a valuable tool for torpedo attacks. When employing destroyers with narrow stealth windows, the fine tuning of a perfect 90 degree launch is assisted by this. It should be a toggleable option within the game's UI.

[0.11.6.0] Fading Transparent Minimap MOD for WoWS
Cat0Nine replied to fugetsu's topic in Interface Modifications
Dear Fugetsu, Following your suggestion I installed one of the ribbon packs from Aslain's mod, and using a png transparency html https://imageresizer.com/transparent-background converted only the subribbon icons which cause the visual obstruction within the UI, thus deleting the rest which don't cause a problem. The UI in this case renders only transparent icons and includes the notification detail below where they would normally appear, eg "Richochet x4" Another mod inquiry posted below found in these forums details the procedure to reposition the subribbons and ribbons around the UI. Unfortunately, I couldn't make that work correctly and so reverted to the initial solution. Anyway, your response is appreciated. This reply to you is also a follow-up for other people who may have the same inquiry and curiosity as to the outcome of my initial request. Regards, o7 -
[0.11.6.0] Fading Transparent Minimap MOD for WoWS
Cat0Nine replied to fugetsu's topic in Interface Modifications
Sir, These hit ribbons are somehow connected to the map and presently the only way to move them from obscuring the target is with the +/- keys. Fading these hit ribbons and your transparent-map together as one mod will remove the disadvantage one player suffers when knife fighting another at close range. Please attempt to achieve this.
