    New Brawl Is Stupid

AZ and NM have 356mm guns, but they do have 12 of them... and bow/stern overmatch even with 14" guns is still a thing for cruisers and some BBs at T6, however your best bet for good damage is always a broadside shot.
  2. Obviously he doesn't believe in homing torpedos, either...

    Yamato vs Dreadnought

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ship_gun_fire-control_system#History_of_analogue_fire_control_systems An excellent article detailing the way FCS dictated the performance of gunships (for instance, an Escort Carrier in the battle of Samar blew up a Japanese cruiser with 5" guns)

    French vs English BB's

Love my Warspite, Nelson, Hood, Duke of York, and Vanguard premiums... Don't discount the AP. Even DoY's AP is quite good (against cruisers)...
  6. It's a long wayssss, from Tipperary... or a good das Boot implementation
  7. Recommend you check out the game Cold Waters if you like Hunt for Red October. There are mods which let you take over as, say, an Akula class attack submarine.

West Virginia 44 - WILL NEVER BE RELEASED

Ultimately it's their game, that goes without saying. They can develop it how they wish, of course they are going down the road of 30kn underwater submarines with homing-ping WW2 torpedos... trying to inject some realism and historical ships might be one way to get back onto a better track... just my opinion of course.

I think one of the things that wasn't recognized is how extensive the post refit changes were to these ships. People don't like the slow reload - and I agree, personally I think it should have been left at 30sec. But T7 to me is justified - as long as she retains the good range, and ESPECIALLY if she received post refit better armor and improvements in things like AA and secondary firepower (CA does not get better secondaries in game...)

You sure owners of California would be happy about that?

West Virginia 44 - WILL NEVER BE RELEASED

It is good justification when she does it on the first salvo due to post-refit radar fire-control equipment.

West Virginia 44 - WILL NEVER BE RELEASED

That is patently true for any T6 or above ship that is facing increased map sizes.

It makes NO sense to have her as a T7. California at T7 with 12 guns is far superior.

For Colorado class, from Wiki: Sounds like she gets additional deck armor for magazines. Far superior to Bismarck. Would have to get home from work and consult reference books to find out more.
