Best BB line for ranged combat

Hi. After reading a lot about everything related to BB, and playing some games to get to know my own style, I came to the conclusion that I tend to fight at long range. My style focuses on keeping a safe distance, choosing semi-static positioning, and making every shot count. Taking these factors into account, it seems that the Japanese line is the most suitable for this style of play. I have also read very good comments about the French line for Tier's VII-X. I would love to know your opinion about it.

Most Beautiful Ships in the Game. Your opinions?

I do not know if it is the most beautiful, but but fall in love. A gift from @ObnoxiousPotato
  5. Hi. I hope this is the appropriate section to make this request. Would it be possible to include Sigma values on the artillery statistics screen? I have searched for alternative sources that give this information, but there are doubts about its reliability. https://i.ibb.co/SN9Rr0m/sigma.png

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Everything I know I have read and learned from the great players.

Thank you @ObnoxiousPotato . I owe you a potato. You tell me what sauce I put on it.

I understand what you mean and I agree in part with you, in another I must respectfully differ. While killing opponents seems like the ultimate goal of the game, the K / D ratio does not define a player's actual performance in team games. In my current phase as a player I cannot focus on killing. For example, it is true that in my first game in Tier VIII I did not kill anyone with my Tirpitz, but we managed to win, and although it is not much, I managed to inflict almost 100k damage. Now all my senses are set on learning: 1. Positioning. 2. Situational awareness. 3. Intuitive (non-conscious) understanding of the data provided by the minimap. 4. Learning of maps and appropriate strategy for each map. 5. Test other nations and ships. Now I cannot be an expert on a nation or ship, simply because it is not the time to do it nor did I have enough time. With that said, I haven't tried Japan yet, but I think it will become my top nation. My style of play is from a distance and I use precision to do great damage. I keep learning and thanks for your comment.

Please, I already tried to clarify this in another answer: I'm just saying kindly; I don't have any other "alt" profiles and this is my only WoWS profile. Regarding your comment about the CVs, I know that they will not disappear, I just suggest that the game would improve if they disappeared in their current state.

That's right, exactly... As I say in my original post and as a new player: I just wish WoWS is better. In its current state, CV is not on par with the good work that Wargaming has done in other areas. As they are now, removing CV entirely would enhance the gaming experience for many players. In this same thread I describe what I myself saw on the chat channel in one of my games with Tirpitz. The hatred towards CVs is there and that does not improve the situation. I am a new player and I have many things to learn; With that said, I think I did the right thing. My role as a BB is to push, take damage, and hold a position (even more so if I'm in a German BB). In general, I always try to go in a squad, never alone. I support cruisers and destroyers in flank positions if the map allows (as was the case here). But I don't have the mobility to run away as easily as the accompanying cruiser and destroyer did in this case. That said, if I am wrong I have no problem recognizing it and continuing to learn.

    I completely agree with you.

Yes, I think this is what is happening. I subscribe every word @ObnoxiousPotato Edit: BTW, Tirpitz is an amazing ship. I'm really enjoying it. (at least, until a CV sinks it)

Thanks for your comment. I can assure you that all the games I have played in Tier VIII where there were no CVs I have enjoyed. I didn't have a great performance, but I felt it was a fair and fun game.

I just played a Tier VIII game with my Tirpitz. 2 CV in my team, 2 in the red team. The CVs of the red team are having fun and the torpedoes and bombs are falling nonstop. I play with my Tirpitz from a middle position (I am German, it is my role), but before the rain of bombs that arrive from the sky the battleship and the cruise ship that accompanied me leave me alone and back off. Before long, 2 destroyers and 1 Tier X battleship appear right in front of me. I try to back up, tilt my ship 30º to withstand the frontal impacts of the cruiser, while the destroyers attempt a lateral maneuver to launch their torpedoes. My secondary weapons do everything they can (team secondary configuration), but all efforts are futile: another wave of torpedo bombers arrives. The AA batteries in my Tirpitz, with +199 continuous damage, barely manage to take half of the life out of the bombers. There is a time when it doesn't matter what I do or where I move: the front battleship manages to set my ship on fire, a destroyer launches its torpedoes, and the bombers launch torpedoes from two angles. I manage to avoid one of the volleys, the other one doesn't. I die miserably. In chat, I see that my teammates are not having a better time and there is a lot of anger, a lot of insults and a lot of hatred towards something called "CV". This is not OK.

True, they can both do 100k damage. But the discussion does not revolve around how much damage they can do, but how they do it. -BB, 100k damage: You must be a good player. He knows how to use the strengths of his ship and knows its weaknesses, he has situational awareness of the map, he knows how to tilt his hull ... among many other things. Also, while BB deals damage, it also takes damage. It is a fair showdown where both contenders face similar tools and similar risks. -CV, 100k Damage: You get omniscient map information without any skill involved, you bombard everything with no chance to counter-replicate and your ship is 100% safe somewhere far away from the map (except if attacked by another CV!)
