Ranked Sprints are a rigged environment

I didn't torpedo anything in that game. Just trolling me again I am not the mad shima player that throws torps around ... Look someplace else. I am extremely careful to NOT launch torps with friendlies in, around, in front of or behind the target. In this case the Venezia blindly launched torps into a cap area and I did not change course to avoid them until I became aware of them. Of course the game is rigged! The patent for WOWS specifically states that the target win rate is 49%. How can WOWS file a patent with that in it unless the game is rigged! JC, the trolls really come out.

The friendly Venezia took 99% of my hit points away ... which is true. The Kremlin did the coup de grace with a single hit. In essence, the Venezia killed me. 90K was a fat finger. Whenever I take huge damage from a friendly ship, it generally hurts my ability to survive. Seems that I take a lot of hits from friendly ships that do not know how to play torps. All responders jumped on MY record. My analysis was based on the Leaderboards of all the battles I played in, not my own record, per se. I'm fed up with stats shamers. Responders, for the most part, have just piled on and trolled me and I made the mistake of defending my statement. I'll continue to play as I see fit. None of the Wows stats have weighted averages biased towards current performance. At the time of my post, I had only played 2 random battles in Shimakaze. After the post, I played another (check the time stamps please) but had to leave the keyboard because of a delivery at front door so, I lost that battle. Done with trying to express a valid point ....

Just not worthy of a ticket because I have absolutely known the stats have been wrong for a very long time, but I don't care because all stats are used for is stats shaming which is what you are trying to do with inaccurate and incomplete stats. I keep my own stats extracted from my replays (have all of them since I began WOWS) and they rarely agree with WOWS. I do weighted averages to see how I am progressing not standard average of all battles played. Yes I really horrible in the beginning. Still have terrible battles and good battles but more great battles than not. Depends a lot on Day, Time of Day, Map, Spawn point, and so on. You say all this trolling crap based on obviously flawed STATS which are skewed and inaccurate. How do you set aside that fact and continue to come to conclusions which just aren't valid. My screen prints clearly demonstrate that I have destroyed more than the 3 ships claimed by WOWS in the current or any Sprint. Yes, they were cherry picked to show DESTROYED SHIP COUNT to demonstrate the flaws. I have a lot more screen prints too. I routinely use a program that I have written to produce screen prints of battles ... more to help me improve than to brag. They do come in handy to refute your statements. I do not know why my stats are so wrong. Maybe it is something really obscure like my IGN is the max that is allowed, maybe is because I once changed my IGN years ago. Do I care? No. Do I want to report it? No. I have my own stats and they say I am playing better every month. Do I have fun playing the game? Mostly. When I get frustrated I analyze the situation and arrive at a course of action. In this case, I took my own advice, switched to a BB and achieved qualification (no stars to 5 stars) in exactly 7 battles. True rigorous statistical analysis is not rocket science. Analyzing the dubious WOWS stats is more like magic ...

Your Stats are highly inaccurate and WRONG. Here is proof - first two screenshots! BTW, other stats on WOWS are wrong and I have noticed that for a long time too! Stats say that I have only destroyed 3 ships in Ranked Battles to get to Rank 1. My current sprint rank is Bronze 1 (actually will be Silver 10 tomorrow) and I am posting more proof of how wrong the stats actually are: There are a lot of other suspect stats as well. I have screen prints and replays to prove it. See rest of screenshots. SO NOT I AM NOT TROLLING ANYONE - Please check your numbers! Now, I cannot know if only my stats have been corrupted or if others have incorrect stats or if everyone has incorrect stats. I can certainly prove my case for me.

Well I am not a re-roll player account. It took me awhile to learn how to play effectively so lots of losses. Stats are avg over all time, they do not show recent trends The MM is random and does not take into account radar, ranges of radar, and so on so really bad matchups occur frequently. I have not been on the receiving end of these OP matchups. Stats don't tell the whole story because frequently I have played (with many ships) for specific goals such as ribbons, torp hits, kills, specific damage to a particular nationality's ships, and so on. Win or Lose was not part of that goal. Playing with minimal commanders, few signals, and minimal or no equipment in the beginning of ownership of each ship is a serious impediment to winning. I have played 2 random battles so far today with Shimakaze. I did very well (>90K damage, 2 Kills, 1 cap, 3 spotted) but team lost and I was top of leaderboard I barely got into the closest cap and a Green team Venezia PIVOT463 put 4 torps in me and sank me (TEAMKILL) in the first two minutes, Score 0 and Green camping team lost. So how do those account for my skill level ... by these stats, I am an abysmally awful player. From these, we get a 100% loss rate, 45K average damage, avg 1 Kill rate and so on. In many games with DD, the opposing CV finds me and continues to attack or spot me until I am sunk either by rockets, bombs, torps or focus fire from ships. Playing a DD with a CV is always a challenge.

Everyone seems to want to take my comments out of context. When the MM sets up with 1 (me) Radar ship vs 3-4-5 Radar ships on red, there is very little possibility for a win and especially when the green team has 3-4-5 campers in the B-C line area and the red team does not camp. That is a run and hide game because if you don't use the an island to restrict the number of ships targeting you, when they hit radar, and they will, you are spotted and focus fire kills you quickly. With 4 radar ships, it is dayum impossible to use stealth to get close enough to launch torps. As soon as I pop radar (since I am only radar ship), the red team knows where I am. I get these types of games about 3 out of 5. Can't win, can't do damage with torps and using guns is a suicide run. So, I don't care how good a DD player you are with Smaland, the green team loses 100%. Now if I am playing Shimakaze with 20 km torps, maybe a bit better. If you change the above scenario to 1 radar (green) and 3 radar (red) and add CV. It is all about how diligent the green CV player is in spotting and killing DD or is the CV player out attacking BB because they get better damage and xp doing BB rather than DD. Again, with a diligent red CV player, this is an instant losing game. I don't know why I seem to always get assigned by the MM to highly unfavorable teams. When I do get a team that doesn't camp, I do pretty well but that is maybe 1-5 games.

Don't know where you get these stats but pick someone playing Thunderer in Ranked QUAL for Silver ...

So of everyone that is telling me I play poorly, how many of you play DD's all the time in RANKED and not in a DIV

The caveat here is that I have capped but the RED team has all 3 caps, has not lost any ships and our team has 1 destroyer left (me) and 3 BB and our BB are all camping at the back of the map. The game is lost unless our BB actually sink a ship. I have been in so many losing battles where our team ends with no one sinking a single RED team ship. No amount of skill on my part makes any difference if over half the green team ships are sunk and the red fleet is completely intact.

100% ... this is eminently winable with some guile and careful play. Now if the point score was 254 to 728 still winnable because there is only 1 ship on each side and deleting the red ship wins the game. Now, if the entire Red team is still alive and 3 of our team are dead and the rest are camping hiding and the point score is 254-728, and RED has all three caps, the game is already lost.

I cannot carry the team in a Smaland. Even a relatively poor Thunderer player (missing 2/3 of salvos) can be in the top of the leaderboard. Odin, yes ... you got off your dead butt and teams that do this win.

Ranked Sprints are a rigged environment

I didn't say I wasn't good enough to save a star but when the points are 200-800 ... there is absolutely NO RECOVERY from that to a win and a suicide is warranted. If I am supported, I continue to play. If all the BB are camping and sniping, generally speaking there is no chance that I can save a star because I can't compete with the XP of a camping BB - this has nothing to do with skill. This is simple analysis. If the BB get off their dead butts and push into the caps, we would win but they don't.

Ranked Sprints are a rigged environment

As long as the RED team pairs up DD, I do not have a DD that can kill 2 other DD without support. With all the ships camping or island hugging, no prayer of killing DD. Smaland has fast enough guns but against more than 1 ship, it is ugly without smoke. And ... raw stats don't tell the whole story! When I said stats don't lie, I meant game theory. When you walk into a casino and play black jack, the casino has the advantage. Individual players may win more than 50% of the time but this is not necessarily skill but mostly the luck of the draw. Same with WOWS, when you enter a game in a BB, it is more likely than not that you will score more XP (damage and such) than most of the other type of ships unless you play insanely stupidly. Good play with a BB these days is passive sniping usually with DEAD EYE. There is no use or need for secondaries on BB in WOWS because BB rarely get into brawling situations. If you play the passive sniping game, you can be assured of a a spot on the leaderboard in the top 4 (random). Brain fart ... I analyzed thunderer results and most progress rapidly as do all other BB. DD's, not so much. This passive sniping style drives me nuts. No support for DD but they want DD to spot and cap. No reward for the risk that justifies the risk. With radar becoming ubiquitious, how can a DD play and win?

Ranked Sprints are a rigged environment

Yes .. first game ever with Thunderer. No equipment, level 3 commander with no skill points assigned. Basically, went out to knock the snowflake off. Was also trying to get a feel for the arc of the shells and rudder shift and overall maneuverability. And your point is?
  15. JohnChristianFalkenberg

Ranked Sprints are a rigged environment

Yes, BB's who don't camp are winning! Nearly all of the teams I have been assigned to are campers that never get off the spawn line and campers and island hugging Cruisers (and for that matter, island hugging DD) cannot support dd, cannot cap, mostly the spawn line campers are completely out of position to take advantage of a cap cleared out of red team opponents in or near the cap. How do I get the matchmaker to put me on teams that I can actually win with? More importantly, how do you raise W/L with these horrible team assignments.
