This commander skill rework is garbage.

My take on the rework, Some of my friends are for it, and some of my friends are against it...and I agree with my friends.
  2. Another CV expert is @Ahskance.

    FIX THE DANG MM

Co-op MM is rigged, but nobody ever complains about it.

    Japanese T10 CV or American?

Midway is your better option all round, after the Haku nerfs and the powercreep from the release of MvR and FDR, Haku lost effectiveness in the competitive world. I would still recommend getting it eventually if you enjoy CVs. Midway: Midway planes have large hp pools, making beginners mistakes is more forgiving than other CVs. The ship is solid overall and have plane types effective for almost all ship types. I'll borrow some info from the wows wiki which perfectly explains the aircraft types. Attack aircraft: There are two different types of attack aircraft to use, similar to Lexington. Players get the option between HVARs and Tiny Tims. HVARs have many rockets per run, however, HVARs have low fire chance individually and have low penetration, so these rockets are best used on soft targets. Their use on destroyers is limited with the large minimum distance: it is virtually impossible to attack-run an unspotted destroyer. Tiny Tims are the hard hitters, with high penetration and high fire chance. These rockets launch fewer rockets per attack with a slightly lower minimum distance, so it is easier to miss small targets with these rockets. As the dive bombers can take care of small targets adequately, after an most recent update aiming reticle and launch paterns for Tiny Times are horizantel. Thus, making the Tiny Tims more innacurate and less effective then they use to be. As a result, the HVARs are more effective. Torpedo bombers: Torpedo bombers carry the same torpedo found on tier IV CV Langley (!). The torpedo bombers are actually stronger than expected for a USN carrier. They deal moderate damage with each attack dropping six torpedoes, which can deal very high damage to slow moving targets. Thanks to the repair consumable they can manage to make two runs on enemy battleships which can critically damage them. The individual torpedoes are weaker than RN or IJN torpedoes and also aim significantly slower than them but the ability to land a high number of them somewhat compensates for this fact. Dodging flak and managing planes well are highly advised while under attack from them because two runs can deal up to 50% of a high tier battleship's health. They are a weapon that shouldn't be underestimated just because of her low damage per torpedo. The captain must be aware that these fish are easily dodged because of their very slow speeds (35knots) and must time their drops to get the most out of each "fish". Compared to Haku, Haku has more effective torpedoes. Dropping 2 fast (and fast aim) torpedoes that sport a high flood chance per torp, causing the highest damage of all CV (9,333k) per torp, and also can attack up to 6 (!) times per squadron. Dive bombers: Midway's dive bombers are the stars of the show. Known for hitting targets hard regardless of class, the dive bombers can do high amounts of alpha damage, have a high fire chance, and very good penetration. They drop the same amount of bombs per attack as Lexington, but get one more attack per squadron. Dropping near the end of an attack run can greatly increase the accuracy of the bomb drop, however, this technique is very high in difficulty. When mastered, the bomb runs can do five-digit damage per run even to destroyers. With the unique upgrade, their damage is boosted even further at the cost of speed. Midway is better in competitive realm than Haku, the best CVs for competitive is MvR and FDR. Even after the nerf to MvR DB accuracy, the bombs are just as affective as before if the captain knows how the techniques are to drop and time their drops for the most accuracy. Even after the nerf I still get triple cits on BBs once every three times. Usually double. A quote from @Your_SAT_Score "FDR and MvR fill somewhat different roles in competitive. MvR is a good all round CV that can overpower 2 ship formations while providing scouting. Her mobility allows her to support both flanks, making her the most popular meta CV. FDR is more limited in mobility, but can smash through AA ship blobs and land crippling blows to the target. Her plane HP also allows her to tank Halland and Smaland AA for long periods of time, effectively suppressing them from taking objectives. The top NA clan runs FDR as part of their CB lineup." In randoms, you don't run MvR to counter FDR. You run MvR because she is arguably the best T10 CV for winning."

thinking of grabbing a premium destroyer

Get T-61, best DD at tier VI. I know you haven't mentioned this, but USS Kidd is also a solid option. Good guns, heal, "decent" AA, etc.

    Petro

To be honest, Petro has more success shooting AP at BB superstructer rather than HE. Most players in WOWS always show broadside to Petro AP, therefore those players call the AP OP.

    OMG. I want it now

They should just slap on a pizza camo and call it "Little Caesers".

Can we at least get Skill based MM for CV's???

Hi, I believe I was the Graf Zeppelin that game.

Are you on target to complete Hizen on time?

I would love completing the missions and try to get Hizen...but I'm a F2P and probably will not get enough doubloons to complete it sadly.

    Waterline: What's Happening Next?

The line will be a failure with the info provided so far. The line will totally rely on the 2 light cruisers on the enemy team showing broadside, sure the AP is good against probably any ship that shows broadside. But once the 2 cruisers are dead, the DPM will be very low, can't cap because concealment bad, large, and also french DDs are arguably better because French engine boost, very good HE, French also have Reload Boost just like the new DDs, and French has damage saturation reduction. Only thing better for new DDs is the German Hydro, "decent" AA with DFAA, better AP shells, and probably IFHE default. The current German DD line has some of the characteristics of the future new German DDs, but also have good concealment, smoke, ability to stealth hydro if concealment speced properly for Z-52, etc. Compare the info already provided to the rest of the ships, and the rest of the meta. Please do not get me wrong, the info provided so far gives me the above, there may be some details that haven't been mentioned that makes these new "DDs" unique. As always, this is my first impression with the info provided so far, we may get further details soon. P.S. @Hapa_Fodder keep up with your work, your work is always appreciated. I know your job can get quite stressful. The main thing is you enjoy it. - Sakura
