    [0.8.10.0] Crook's World Modpack.

These ship skins are really beautiful, and I greatly appreciate the time and effort that went into them. I'd love to see some description, for each national line, of your inspiration and imagined backstory for their color and font schemes.

    Submarines

Those interested in seeing a WWII submarine up close and personal have two options in and near Chicago: I've previously visited the U-505 on exhibit at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry: https://www.msichicago.org/explore/whats-here/exhibits/u-505-submarine/ Last weekend I visited the USS SIlversides Museum in Muskegon, Michigan: https://silversidesmuseum.org/ I highly recommend both to folks interested in WWII history, naval history, and/or submarines. The Silversides Museum in particular is a surprising little gem of a WWII museum, with a room that summarizes the European Theater as well as the main rooms covering the careers of USS SIlversides SS-250, its fellow Gato-Class USS Flier SS-236, and the WWII USN in general, with nice large-scale models of USS Missouri BB-63 and USS Gearing DD-710. It's not the World War II Museum in New Orleans by any stretch, but the Silversides Museum is worth a visit if you're in the area and you love the subject matter.
  6. Seconded. I would definitely buy one specific captain of my choice, perhaps three, but I'm not going to roll the dice on a lootbox or purchase the full bundle at that price. Speaking as a user who's got enough budget to buy that full bundle if I really wanted to.

    Historical Scenarios, Your thoughts

    Jutland scenario in WoWs

If Wargaming could try to model a full-scale (but time-compressed) Jutland with 7, 9, or 11 live players on each team as squadron commanders, and the rest of the ships on each side as bots programmed to follow the lead of a squadron commander, I'd love to play that. Another idea for a scenario with a Jutland - like "feel," but not really Jutland: Ocean map or equivalent Phase I: cruisers and destroyers from each side spawn in line-ahead formation, fairly close together, making initial contact Phase II: battlecruisers from each side spawn in a line-ahead formation, the live players are each teleported (reassigned) to a battlecruiser, and command of the cruisers and destroyers is taken over by bots Phase III: battleships from each side spawn in a line-ahead formation, the live players are each teleported (reassigned) to a battleship, and command of the battlecruisers is taken over by bots; players who lose their battleship are reassigned to one of the bot-played ships remaining on their side, while any are available

Iowa — American Tier IX battleship.

30 years ago today - April 19, 1989 USS Iowa BB-61 loses 47 sailors in a turret explosion during a firing exercise. https://taskandpurpose.com/iowa-explosion
  10. GREAT IDEA, and perfect choice of the day - Texas Independence Day! This native Texan is in Chicago now, however, so I'll look out for when you have something here. The earlier post about a meetup at the I-505 exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry is a great suggestion. AngelEyesGBU
