Why I deleted the game after enjoying it for years

This sums up pretty much exactly how I feel. However I want to clear something up, this is not an issue with a lack of understanding around the spotting mechanic. What I am describing is that the boats absolutely vanish in thin air, under clear skies and no smokescreen. We aren't talking about on the edge of the spotting range either, I'm talking about they just magically appear 2-3K meters out, then disappear again. Inside of this distance, if they can see me on a clear day, not cloaked by a smoke-screen, shouted by a mountain with the sun at my back, etc (all things being equal) - then I should be able to see them, especially that close. It happens over- and over- and over - and over. It's a flaw in the design of the game.

How do I completely delete my account, totally?

My comments were just deleted with an arcade sound while typing a response to this. It will be my last.

What changes are you referring to? And I'm not mad if anything, I'm glad I said something - as I was pissed off when I wrote it - but now feel vindicated by the marginally retarted resonses. LIke I can't [edited]see or my super high-end PC is a toaster. FML.

I just watched this, it did jack schitt for me - learned NOTHING that I didn't already figure out playing 800 battles, but it only frustrated me with these responses even further. SHIPS DON'T DISAPPEAR IN THIN AIR IN PLAIN LINE OF SIGHT ON A CLEAR DAY IN CALM SEAS AT 2-3 MILES!

Let's talk about a few other games that are popular, for context. Take for example, call of duty. You should NOT have to battle an invisible "predator" who sees in thermal and is in the trees when you think you are battling a mortal on the ground with a comparable load out. When playing Forza: You should NOT have to race a car with brakes that don't fade, with black hole levels of grip, that has warp levels of acceleration out of corners and you can't see them coming behind you in your mirrors. What I'm hearing is, "hey man... just learn how to "game" the system - and it is sad. Put everyone in equal ships, with the same load-outs, then let your experience win. THAT should be the goal of a game, to compete. How sad it is to see so many excuses for either a cheat (less likely) or (more likely) a faulty design in-game strategy.

Please trust me, it's not an issue with my network, graphics card, etc. I'm sitting behind a low latency fiber connection with a very robust gaming PC that I regularly play call of duty on.

Thanks, I might check that out.

You make a good point. But, honestly, all the 'help' I've seen others talk about on other boards basically said they would blame my hardware, connectivity, lack of vision, skill, etc. This game is SERIOUSLY [edited]flawed. period.

I'm playing multiple ships, and enjoy the cruiser the most due to its versatilty. Please do not accuse me of being close-minded for expressing a concern that many others have, that also warned me about venting here. They all said, "go start a thread - you will be glad you deleted the game" They were 100% correct.

Copy that, sorry.. I'm just irritated by the ridicule for expressing a long-standing concern. Honestly, every post I read here fortifies my removing the game was a good decision.

Even sadder for the game. I really enjoyed playing it for a while - honestly - especially when I was laid off due to the pandemic and had Covid. But, these responses make me feel a lot better about uninstalling it. Just being honest.

First, please allow me to express my sincere gratitude for not being rude. I am a 25 year IT professional playing this on a very high-end workstation with an 8 core proc, nVME drive, and a robust graphics card behind low latency fiber interet. Trust me, I know it's not my gear.

Perhaps you are correct. I didn't realize in WW2 that a cruiser or DD could completely vanish in thin air on a clear day at 2 miles when you have a spotter up and 20+ miles of visibility.
