    Update 0.9.10 – American Battleships: Part 2

@Hapa_Fodderlogged on for the first time this week to check out the update etc. Can you please tell the development team to stop replacing my music with their podcasts? I do not have any interest in listening to Russian translated into English and their interpretation of history and when they do that I then have to close the game get into the game files and put it back the way I had it. This is the 3rd time. Also, I know they have always done this but it would be great if they left my choice of the port alone as well. If I want to change it to the newest and latest thing I will but it's kind of presumptuous to assume I want it changed for me. Honestly, I think the entire Wargaming team needs some lessons in customer service.

    ST 0.9.11, Ranked Battles Overhaul

You over complicated the entire thing. To Fix ranked is simple. take away the star based on team wins and base it on individual merit. Example 8 on 8 ranked battle. The top 8 players based on what they did in the game (base XP earned) receive a star regardless of what team they were on. The 9th player stays the same and the rest lose a star. Yes, it is a team game but this is an INDIVIDUAL RANKING and should be treated as such. This will prevent people who have little to no skill making their way through the ranks by being carried.

I also rolled back NVidia drivers when I reinstalled and since you are running the same card as I am maybe that?

    Update 0.8.1 - Bugs Report

So I was able to fix my problem and I want to explain what I did so all of you can possibly fix your issues too. There has been a lot of articles about a specific update from windows that has known issues with FPS and Mouse movement in certain games and it has been speculated that it is affecting other games like World of Warships. That update is KB4482887 (OS Build 17763.348) and is for Windows 10 version 1809. The thing was I did not have version 1809 on my PC and I never received that update. I was running version 1803. That being said I did receive 4 updates since February 1st for version 1803. So my theory was maybe one of those updates had some of the same stuff that KB4482887 had in them. I first tried just uninstalling one of those updates and that did not help. So I decided I would go to the extreme and reinstall an older version of windows 10 and take everything I could of my gaming PC. So I backed up all my personal files and installed a version of Windows 10 I had on a flash drive that was my back up in case of a crash. Basically I wiped my PC clean and then reinstalled windows 10 version 1709 which is over a year old. Then I put Nvidia Gforce Experience on it but did not update to the latest drivers. and then I downloaded a fresh copy of the WOWS game client. Once windows was installed I also got rid of everything I could from windows like all the bloat wear etc. So with an old version of windows 10 and old graphic drivers the problem went away. I can play the game at full MAX Settings and I am getting 75 FPS when its quiet like just sailing around and no worse then 45 to 50 FPS in very heavy action like a close quarters battle. I have windows 10 Version 1709 OS build 16299.125. https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/4043454 My system is pretty old over all but this totally worked so it may work for you too. However as you can imagine it is a very time consuming endeavor System info I5-2400 @3.10GHZ Ram 12GB of DDR3 Graphics card GTX 1050 Windows 10 64 bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10 Pro Version 1709 OS build 16299.125

    Update 0.8.1 - Bugs Report

For those of you with the FPS/FREEZING issue. Here is an update. There are some that are suggesting that a Windows update kb4482887 which is a March 1st update of the October release of the 1809 version of Windows 10 is causing our FPS troubles. They think this because Windows put in its known issues that it was affecting the graphics and mouse movement of a game called Destiny and it is widely believed it would affect others. However, I never got Windows version 1809 because if you all may recall that was the version that was also causing people to lose files on their computer so Microsoft paused its release and is only now slowly releasing it again. I am still running Windows 10 version 1803. What I am trying to discern now is if something in that version some update that came about in early to mid-February is doing the same thing as KB4482887. If you have any other info please share. Thank you!

    Update 0.8.1 - Bugs Report

So WG support finally got back to me and had me download another program that "checks" my system. One that I have never heard of called AIDA64. Apparently, they still believe it is my system that is at fault. @Torsitch

we need to encourage everyone with this FPS issue to report it

    Update 0.8.1 - Bugs Report

Yes, it would be nice to get some acknowledgement and it would be nice if they would be responding a lot faster. Its been 23 hours since support sent me their only message to do the clean boot. And I posted my original post here days ago. I count like 15 people who have reported the issue or have told me in my clan and I have told them to do what I have done. It is frustrating as well that every time I have had an issue with the game support makes you jump through hoops when the issues always appear after their updates.

@Gneisenau013 as you can see there more and more people reporting this issue.

    Update 0.8.1 - Bugs Report

@Gneisenau013 since I wrote that reply I have done the following. 1) uninstalled the game and reinstalled it. 2) cleared my HDD to the point where it only has12% usage on it. 3) ran a new WG Check report. 4) submitted a ticket to support they suggested a Clean boot (disabling all background programs except windows stuff) which I did. Lowered my graphics settings several times 5) made sure all drivers were up to date. None of this has worked. I have noticed that even zoomed out if there is a lot of action going on my FPS drops. It is not hitting the teens anymore but is hitting the mid 20's like 24 FPS and it stays in the 40's a lot when things are not busy. WoWS_report.wgc 20190307_110159_PASD508-Kidd_45_Zigzag.wowsreplay

    Update 0.8.1.1

@iKamiI was hoping this update would fix the FPS and PING problem that many have been having since around the first hotfix (8.01) But it did not. Prior to that time, I was able to use the optimized settings that Nvidia recommended for this game and now even with some settings turned down I get FPS that drops as lose as 15. It happens as more action is going like aa firing while I am firing while people are shooting me etc. The busier it is on screen the worse it is. Can you please respond that you all are aware of the issue and what you plan to do about it. Here is the bug report I submitted a few days ago. Cab

    Update 0.8.1 - Bugs Report

@Gneisenau013 like everyone else who I quoted has said there is a massive FPS problem since sometime after 8.0 dropped I noticed it after 1 of the hotfixes. Prior to that time I always had an FPS that stayed between 65-76 no matter what, running max graphics settings. Now the FPS drops to the 50s at times in port, and in a game it goes up and down from 76 to 15 depending on how much action is going on. The more action or the busier it is the more the FPS drops especially when zoomed in. It becomes completely unplayable. WoWS_report.wgc

A Captain's Challenge, The Player versus In-Game Commander

While I appreciate all the time and all the hard work and I found it all very interesting. I do not believe the test subject you chose was "mediocre" That word means the same as the word average. so to make your test valid you would need to find someone who has average stats overall or more to the point I think pick the ship first and find someone who has average stats in that ship.
