sounds of the Great Wars end....

true the sounds of peace... but still sad...
  3. The sound of birds returning so soon after the guns fall silent is one of the sadist things I have ever heard. 1024x576_MP4_9061260928198200974.mp4 November 11th 1918 11:00 AM, the Great War ends….. Heart wrenching to think that the armistice had been signed some 6 hours earlier and still those in command let the fighting continue until the appointed hour…. Such senselessness as hundreds if not thousands lost their lives in those few hours before the wars official ending…

At that time, ill be paying my respects to those who have fallen, to those who served, and to those who are serving with our armed forces. A time of remembrance...

let us remember, lest we forget

On the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month we gather to pay our respects to those who have fallen, to those who served, and to those who are serving with our armed forces. “To you from failing hands we throw the torch; be yours to hold it high” reads a line in John McCree’s famous poem ‘Flanders Fields’. If you can, join your community on this November 11th for the Remembrance Day ceremony, mark this very special tradition in your community.

    Clan battles Nov 10th

rescheduled... stay tuned.... Report post #1 Posted yesterday at 07:12 AM Commanders! We’ve unfortunately had to cancel the test of the Сlan Battles season "The North" which was scheduled for this weekend, for technical reasons. During previous test iterations we’ve noticed increased server instability, leading to several crashes, related to the cross-realm match-making feature. Before we are able to resume testing and release the feature for our community we need to thoroughly investigate these issues and make sure they do not affect operations. It looks like this might take some time, so we ask for your patience while we iron things out. We’ll inform everyone when we’re ready for further test iterations. Thank you for participating in testing so far! Action Stations!

And of course WG has seen fit to recognise this... To bad WG didn't take their head out of the sand and recognize that the commonwealth nations are part of WoWs and deserve their due.... be remembered ....

a heartfelt time for me as I recall the stories told of a time that is so distance.... when they volunteered, my dad was 14, his brother 16 my uncle's regiment.. 2nd Canadian Expeditionary Force, 24th Battalion, Victoria Rifles My dad (being only 14) was posted to a local Militia unit - 39 Battery, Canadian Field Artiliary (CFA)... Then latter to the 6th Hussars… He was never sent overseas as the age requirement in Canada was then 18, and so the war ended before his posting to a combat unit....
  13. let us remember those that gave so much for us all... and on a personal note, remembering my dad and his brother who both served in that war to end all others...

    Cross-Server Clan Battle a Bust?

This morn the lads get together for a rumble with our opposites on the RU server and nothing… For what ever reason, our clan was unable to initiate a battle… frustrating and a little disappointing…
