I have to blame myself as I don't follow the game anymore. I was only aware of the Duke this week, so I watched a couple of Flamu's videos and I thought it would be a great T7 boat....great DF and superb sigma....well well- serves me for not gleaming the internet to see what changes were made. I was confident I could make the boat work as a team supporter...now, as far as Im concerned, I fell for another WG gimmick boat. I could've spent the $45 dollars on a gift for someone. Yeh, I was very disappointed to see they nerfed the very characteristics I bought her for. For the life of me, I wish WG would simply publish critical data on their premium inventory on their webstore. So what if her sigma was +2.0, so what if her DF was extremely good....no heal, big deal, she seemed like a well thought out BB. gppd rudder, turrets and reload clocks- but no, I suppose the whiners yelped and WG once again listened. For once WG, stick to your damn decisions when you plan/design a premium boat. So what if some of its characteristics are OP..big deal- your method of balancing the oem DoY was fine in my eyes. And since I'm not going to follow each and every update that WG goes thru, nerffing this, swapping that...Im afraid Haida, Coussack and the Duke will have to be my final decisions to curtail support.

What part of my system do you need access to NOW? I've examined your connection practices for over a year now and finally decided to see what your latest update was doing and why. Thank to your installation not accepting my direction to where the update show install for my local warships folder...it wasted an entire 20 minutes of torrent download (at my expense, mind you) and now that I have secured my system(s) from internet intrusions, your software is now demanding I lower my securities to have access to your game server. Between WG tweaking desktop shortcuts to do things I didnt give permissions to and now apparently WG wants more access to my system configuration....

Probably the absolute worst buying decision I could have made, followed by the Duca. I'm deeply regretting this purchase. For the life of me, I'll never understand the kind of gimmicks WG decided this premium boat should have. Utterly distasteful.

This^^ You should spec her AA properly and you need to rein in that habit of leading a charge. Hood is a support boat, not a point boat.

Her armor is more than ample. Her AA is quite sufficient. Hood shines w a 17pt or higher commander. I've experienced great brawls w her against T8-9 BBs. Spec her for full AA, full secondaries or a combination of both. Shes a battle cruiser at heart w sufficient HP for the tiers she will face. Don't expect her to take first place. What Hood brings to the table is panic.

Indeed, you have painted a terrific portrait of what Atlanta is about, what Atlanta can bring as well as every consideration the Atlanta skipper must consider with every moment they take her to sea. Atlanta goes to work at 13km, her skipper must constantly look at the guns' lead point to target(s), keep a watch on the skies, be wary of destroyers...and thanks to priority target, her skipper has to quickly assern where the incoming salvos are coming from and come to a general solution that minimizes the least amount of incoming damage. Atlanta requires very fast decision conclusions that must be adapted and improvised "onthefly"- no questions asked. Every moment on the water is a calculated roll of the dice- and while anyone can hit black ice, its far easier to hit black ice with the Atlanta for numerous reasons. The Atlanta is best skippered as a two-fold ship- support for the team and solo-yolo when the windows of opportunity presents itself. And her skipper must decide 'onthefly' the proper angles of attack 'onthefly' ....Hundreds and Hundreds and Hundreds of sessions with the Atlanta reward her skipper with a sound general sense of how to sail most any cruiser or destroyer within WarGaming's playing board. But the flip side is that her skipper (me) can become accustomed to her timing characteristics and your muscle memory doesn't shift well enough to slower reacting vessels - when you get to my age and how the mind isn't as sharp as it once was.But, all in all, probably the best chapter Mouse has ever put to pen in the "All About Warships" manual!Thank You for your exhaustive research and attention to detail.I can only hope we don't see more Atlanta skippers (the true B!t@# on the water)

Deal with it like the rest of the paying customers. I just fell in love w Leningrad. Now Belfast may be an issue. Pay to win is good for those that support WG's payroll. When the lights go out..blame yourself. Come to think of it..I'll buy Belfast just to continue my support!!
