  1. Possible Solution to Radar

Notice, they're talking about making changes to it, not removing it. I've never said that it couldn't be improved, just that it NEEDS to exist in some form.
  2. Possible Solution to Radar

They'll change the terms of engagement when it suits their argument. Barring ships like the Belfast or Worcester whose radar extends to or past their concealment (which is a poor design choice IMO), a DD will ALWAYS win or create a stalemate against a cruiser or battleship in a 1v1 fight. Unless the DD is an absolute moron, it's impossible for the cruiser or battleship to win. On one hand they use the 2+ v 1 argument for why radaring behind a rock is broken, but they dismiss the 2+ v 1 when it's a DD spotting the target with complete impunity. It's the EXACT same scenario, but they won't see it. Fortunately, WG doesn't make balance decisions solely based on the whining of the playerbase.
  3. Growing as a Captain!

I wish more people had your attitude. Keep it up!
  4. Possible Solution to Radar

My apologies. The lack of quotation was a bit confusing.

  6. Possible Solution to Radar

Considering Zao is one of your worst performing T10s, I'd suggest changing your tactics. The "it works for me" argument doesn't hold water here. It clearly isn't working for you.
  7. Possible Solution to Radar

The "reasonable" portion was a compliment. The "apologist" part was neither backhanded, nor a complement... just a descriptor. By definition, the frequent posters in this thread are all apologists: a person who offers an argument in defense of something controversial What do I fear? I fear the removal of a very needed counter to the stealthiest type/class in the game. I think it is extremely appropriate that the type/class that is supposed to counter destroyers (namely, cruisers) occasionally be equipped with a consumable that aids them in that function. Particularly considering that this counter CAN be played around with proper tactics. The counter to this counter already exists in this game and it's called "situational awareness".
  8. Possible Solution to Radar

Since you're one of the more reasonable radar apologists, I'll gladly respond to you. I have no issues with LoS radar. I have no issue with adjustments to radar to make it more forgiving to some players, but I 100% believe it needs to exist in the game to some degree. Something else major would need to change if it was to be removed entirely. One example (of many) is a significantly higher population of CVs to fill spotting role.
  9. Possible Solution to Radar

By bad players. Yes, let's balance the game around them.
  10. Possible Solution to Radar

Not enjoyable =/= suicidal 4 =/= 6+ 2 week hiatus =/= inability to adapt I typically refuse to respond to you because it's a futile endeavor, but when you misquote me or misrepresent something I said, I am going to call you out on it. You lie, misquote, distort words, and demonstrate an unwillingness to look at this subject objectively. Stop.
  11. Possible Solution to Radar

I'm not lying, you just said it again in this exact post. You keep lying. Is this what we should start to expect from you?
  12. Possible Solution to Radar

Stop lying. I took a 2 week break because it wasn't enjoyable with 6+ radars per team. I often take breaks from the game immediately after a new line release.
  13. Possible Solution to Radar

I should note, I completed 100 solo games in the Shima in the month following the USN CA/CL split as an experiement. I was also goaded by @Lensar to do so. I concluded that test with a 74% WR and determined that A. the Shima is a fun and well balanced boat and B. that the radar saturation post split was fine. Again, my hiatus was only for 2 weeks, and, when I came back to DDs, everything was back to normal.
  14. Possible Solution to Radar

Misquoting again I see. I took a hiatus when I was seeing 5-8 radars per team. 4 radars is manageable. Your insistence on using me as an example for your crusade shows how little you pay attention.
