    ichase is gone now too?

Damn. iCG was one of the first CC's I watched. I can only agree with them, though.. CC withdrawal is likely the best course for all of them involved given just the hearsay. I can hardly imagine what's under the NDA and what incidents we might not've heard about.
  2. Best of luck, LWM. Unfortunate things turned out this way, but you 100% made the right choice resigning.

Hopefully whatever you choose to put your time into next treats you better than this. I think we can all agree you deserve better, as does Chobi and Lord knows how many other CC's or other community members have gone through similar things that weren't as public.

For as little as I am on the forums compared to others - farewell from the USA.

    Premium Ship Review - Yukon

Yeah, that too - should've been a little clearer, but 'Petersburg doesn't seem to want to even consider it.' Petersburg just doesn't seem to care or some other attitude, PLUS the communication issues that I would not be surprised were also an issue [to a lesser extent.] I remember how glad I was I'd practically jumped boat from WoT fully to WoWS before when the whole SirFoch thing went down, and WG seems to be trying to even the scores between WoT and WoWS as quick as possible. Too bad snail naval battles aren't something I enjoy nearly as much as this game.

    Premium Ship Review - Yukon

As genuine as NA's efforts might be, especially some of its staff, it doesn't fix the constant communication issue - not even entirely just with NA, it's particularly St. Petersburg. NA can be as willing as ever to change, but Petersburg doesn't seem to want to even consider it. Given this and WG's past, I find it kind of unlikely LWM and Chobi will be respected in any sort of meaningful way by WG, plus the playerbase as a whole (though we already knew that). I still hope they do, despite how low that chance is. It's clear there's good, hard-working people in WG with the community in mind, but whoever is above them clearly does not seem to share the same interest. GG no re, WG. I'm tired of it.

Damn. Best of luck, Hapa, and here's to hoping the next employee coming along can do as well a job as you did.

    Premium Ship Review - Yukon

Damn.. I can handle the deteriorating game balance, the massive PR failures (though this also qualifies as one now,) and shifting meta, but this? Nope. I read LWM's reviews on near every ship I have, and I've nothing less than utmost respect for both her and Chobi for their work. This is just a massive backhand to everybody who cares about this community, not to mention LWM and Chobi. I honestly don't know what the hell is going on behind Wargaming's doors anymore, but something like this just irks me in a special way that not even the Puerto Rico, Early Access of tech lines, and the CV Rework have done. I like this game. Hell, I really enjoy it at times. But this deterioration is hard to ignore. I still genuinely hope WG manages to get better, as naïve as I feel for even thinking about it. Best wishes to Mouse and Chobi as well. This was totally avoidable and only happened due to WG's negligence. It's a shame.

    Update 0.10.4 – German Destroyers: Part 2

Copy-pasting from feedback here, but eh. Wait, wait, wait, wait - how are we supposed to get signals now? Through combat mission chains that give More Signals containers? C'mon, man.. I understand you'll likely get signals more often, but now there isn't really a way to actually properly grind certain signals (i.e. take my Massachusetts to get Dreadnought or Close Quarters Combat Expert for their respective flags) and instead you now have to trust RNG? Maybe it won't be as big an issue as I think it may be, but it's gonna suck grinding flags I already have hundreds of or don't use and struggle to get enough signals of signals I actually do use. Seems iffy. Also, Pan-EU cruiser airstrike. Look at Flamu's videos. It's hilariously broken. WoWS has gone from a game I'd readily recommend to my friends to 'it's not worth it.' Good job, WG.

    Update 0.10.3 - German Destroyers: Part 1

For the love of god, please, re-buff secondary builds in the Fall Rework-rework. Massachusetts is still quite good - but even her secondaries aren't where they used to be. Buff those skills, please, brawling is sometimes the only reason me and I'm sure many other players have stuck with the game for those excellent scenarios where the game really does shine.
  10. Title summarizes. I attempted to go into battle just earlier today (launched through modstation) and as soon as a match was found, the game went into an infinite loading loop (waited for about 5 minutes.) Attempting to tab out just made the tab go dark and force tab me back in, so I had to restart my computer to access anything else. After that, I tried to launch the game, and it was stuck on 'logging in.' Went to the game center, ran 'check and repair,' and the game launched (still through modstation), though with all settings set back to default (including audio/graphics/crosshair, etc.) I tried to set the game into fullscreen, and it crashed, so I terminated it, had to run check and repair again (another logging in loop,) launched through the Wargaming center, not modstation, and managed to set all my options/settings back to normal, and then I tried to enter battle.. no dice, same issue as before. I'm not very worried about the warning I'll probably get and turning pink for a short bit - but I'd rather not have to reinstall the entire game, so I wanted to see if anyone else has encountered this issue and if anyone's found a solution. Thanks.

Captain Skills For New German DD LIne?

Honestly, I'm not quite sure playing them in the first place is the best idea - look at Flamu's Z-31 video. He doesn't even bother giving the build. I'm quite pessimistic about this line, I'll admit. Regardless, given their gun focus, I wouldn't bother with the torpedoes due to their anemic speed. Reserve those for sub-5km ambushes or hail mary shots. As for the guns, you've got horrible German smoke, so I'd probably be betting on open-water gunboating/ambush tactics. Preventative maintenance, Last Stand, Priority Target if you like, Extra-heavy AP shells, Survivability expert, Main battery & AA specialist (the 3-pointer), Adrenaline Rush, and then your choice of 4-point skill - Fearless brawler (reload,) Main battery expert (range,) or Dazzling (enemy dispersion,) depending on how quick you can kill what you ambush (probably not fast enough.) Really nothing surprising in the build here, I'd just build it like a Soviet DD, though I'm not sure if anybody will play the line long enough to train a captain.

    German Carriers: Early Access

Armor piercing rockets. A R M O R P I E R C I N G R O C K E T S. "Just dodge!" WG says, since AA literally doesn't do anything, so though you evaded 10k damage from the rocket planes two minutes into the match, you got nuked by a Yamato. Avoided getting nuked by the Yamato? Have fun losing 10k health every time the carrier wants to pick on you. Oh, this is a bad, bad idea....

    Submarine Battles: Free Submarine Rentals

After going one round in the sub battle mode on my Ranger, I have immediately noticed 5.9m trick has not been fixed. In fact, nothing's been changed at all. Once everyone gets their subs, it'll be just like the PTS. C'mon, guys.... you need to fix 5.9m especially, and give BB's-heavy cruisers - and perhaps even CV's a way to fight submarines.

    Submarine Battles: Free Submarine Rentals

I can understand the token thing - To make sure players actually play with surface ships rather than all-submarine queues (As was in the PTS.) However, I really do hope the 5.9m trick has been fixed by making surface depth 0 and 0m only. However, I'm not seeing indication of it. Subs would still be good if they could be balanced. I just don't see how, especially if a match where all light cruisers and destroyers die (Let's be real, it happens a lot) or there's only 1 DD how BB or heavy cruisers can even hope to win (outside of capping, which is already hard with an entire surface fleet shooting at you, but then we now have submarines torpedoing you with immunity.) Remove battery recharge at 1/4, too - Make submarines surface (And not at 5.9!) I had to convince myself to write this, since I feel it's going to fall on deaf ears. Like the CV rework and how utterly terrible CVs are to play against. Even as a CV player myself, I feel they should be removed, but I'm just starting to lose trust in WG as a company to listen and consider what the community is saying about something.

Public Test of Update 0.9.4: Round 2

Subs are cool and all, but I'd like to bring up a point Flamu did: Subs could be an interesting mechanic, especially with their own operations. The thing is, how the hell would we balance it in PVP? Destroyers already have so much to do, and attempting to depth charge subs while getting shot at by cruisers? That's a no-go; unless we're going to make destroyer torpedoes be able to go downward and hit submarines that are diving so they don't have to leave their smoke. What if all the destroyers and light cruisers die? Sure, if the sub surfaces, you'll have a chance to shoot, but if they already have a good points lead? there's absolutely nothing you can do, even if there's 20 minutes left in a match, because they can simply dive down to 50m, go at 1/4, and wait. Perhaps force submarines to surface if battery runs out, and disable the battery recharging at 1/4 or stopping? When they surface, battery should recharge much slower than it does now. I think this would provide surface-only ships such as heavy cruisers, battleships, and CV's a chance to attack submarines if they are the only ones left; but even then the detectability of subs might keep them unspotted. On another note, sub spawns - It might be better to, as their purpouse is, spawn them on the flanks, toward the left/right of each team. That way, they can actually carry out 'flanking attacks;' I know it might be slower on the actual server, but as it stands ships just get sunk before they have time to get into any good position. And, the 5.9m trick. I absolutely love that you can control every meter of depth you go up or down; but make surface-to-6m underwater a slow process. Right now, subs can sit at 5.9m and reap the benefits of surface travel, and when there's an alert of incoming fire, they can duck right underwater near instantly and all danger goes away, then surface right back up again. It may be a good idea to make surface-to-6m something like a 10 second process, with you only being able to stay at 0m, or 6m. No inbetween to make you immune to incoming gunfire whenever you want it. You're either surfaced, or you're submerged. Keep depth change in the underwater level the same as it is now. Finally, after my oh-so-long rant, I have one last suggestion, and that's to remove/heavily nerf the deep dive consumable, or give us only 1/2 charge or make it a very short-lasting consumable. Subs can easily go underwater to 80m whenever they want to if someone's about to drop depth charges, and they can take minimal damage, and keep going. You'll never run out of Deep Dive by the time all the depth charge units are dead, and one charge of the consumable will last you an entire assault. I'd really suggest nerfing it, because destroyers and light cruisers won't have 40/80 seconds (depending on your health) of time to wait for depth charges to reload to hit the submarine again.
