Update of commander skills: questions and answers

This is a good point but there's another aspect of it to consider. Neither the Developer Bulletin nor the Blog Post had any details on how the unique captains are being affected. Some, such as the Jutland brothers, have matching skills on the new system but the skill isn't available to all classes while others, such as the Dunkirk brothers, have skills that are not returning. Jutland Jack of All Trades -> Consumables Specialist (DD, CL/CA, BB) Vigilance -> Vigilance (BB) Dunkirk Jack of All Trades -> Consumables Specialist (DD, CL/CA, BB) Smoke Screen Expert -> NULL Expert Marksman -> Gunner (DD, CL/CA, BB) Until we get more information, it's hard to say which of the unique captains might change in either their overall utility or their player-specific utility. Personally I disagree. I don't think the unique non-historic captains won't be any more valuable post-rework than they are now. With the shift from specific improvements to percentage improvement on skills (e.g. Expert Marksman vs Gunner) the min-maxing utility of the national clone pair captains decreases. An extra few percentage points is nice but less influential than current. The historic captains...those are a bit of a wild card. Individually none should be better or worse than now but post-rework the historic captains are going to be run on a lot more ships. I would like to think WG won't bother increasing prices on unique commanders but given the current state of affairs I won't dismiss it happening. Not going to guess how though. With the way WG has set up the game economy the only real way to monetize getting coal is gambling on loot crates and that's unreliable at best even ignoring this year's fallout on crates.
  2. I'm not entirely sure what happened with run #2 on Warspite, it might've been the app I was using lagging. Data for the ships I did is in the same order as Mouse's list. Japanese American Soviet Ship: Gremyashchy 4/4 Speed before turn: 36.9 kts Sustained speed after one 360 turn: 32.1 kts Turn Time #1: 0:39.653 Turn Time #2: 0:39.632 Turn Time #3: 0:39.634 Turn Time #4: 0:39.714 Turn Time #5: 0:39.637 German Ship: Prinz Eugen 4/4 Speed before turn: 32.0 kts Sustained speed after one 360 turn: 25.6 kts Turn Time #1: 1:09.929 Turn Time #2: 1:09.871 Turn Time #3: 1:09.613 Turn Time #4: 1:09.877 Turn Time #5: 1:09.845 Ship: Mainz 4/4 Speed before turn: 32.0 kts Sustained speed after one 360 turn: 25.6 kts Turn Time #1: 1:05.768 Turn Time #2: 1:05.705 Turn Time #3: 1:05.594 Turn Time #4: 1:05.821 Turn Time #5: 1:05.632 British British Commonwealth Ship: Perth 4/4 Speed before turn: 32.5 kts Sustained speed after one 360 turn: 31.8 kts Turn Time #1: 0:51.945 Turn Time #2: 0:51.883 Turn Time #3: 0:51.780 Turn Time #4: 0:51.713 Turn Time #5: 0:51.744

What happens when MM derps with CV's.

Appreciate the thought but @Radcki was our carrier driver. I died early enough in a Hipper to watch the duel and try taking pics.

Old school Thunderdome material. Two CVs enter, one CV leaves.
