  1. A lot of my early games in my wows career are tier 4 and under....but damage is part of it....as long as your focusing destroyers. 10k damage to a DD is better than 30+k to a BB, or 20k+ to a CL. Nuking something is good, but getting rid of a DD is better. 10 health DD vs 10000 cruiser I know I can finish? DD first. So, shoot DD first. Win more. Then focus on dealing damage when DD deads.
  2. I think i'm eligable to post the following. Yes, overall win-rate is the end all, be all, indicator of a player's ability to "carry". Not PR, WTR, or avg damage. None of that matters when the end result is "win" or "lose." And no, MM doesnt favor specific players to artifically boost thier w/r. I've been stat shamed for my low damage, and low wtr/pr numbers. But [edited] those idiots. Im a top ~400 global, and ~150 US, solo win rate. Not through damage, but by playing smart and shooting the correct target at the right time.
  3. best Kurfurst build to use?

    For randoms, there are three ways to go about it, also, I use the 406mm guns. A. Pure Secondaries (Fun) : http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/0100000010000010000010100010100019 B. Pure Zombie, with or without Concealment Expert (I'd do without) (mid-to-long-range never-dying) : http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000011100010100001000100000019 ; although, Trading Fire Prevention for AFT is also a possibility. C. Hybrid Secondaries/Zombie ((close range control) : http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000010000010100001000010100019 Modules, you're almost always going to take: MA1, DCSM1, [SBM2 OR ASM1, depending on your preferences for needing a helping hand against close-in targets like a DD.), DCSM2, TASM1, [MBM3, or if Pure Secondaries - SBM3] If you're in a super-cv heavy meta, you may want to modify your skills and modules slightly to compensate for CVs being cancer. For competitive play, Pure Zombie, with CE is usually considered the best.\ Now, my personal skill selection uses EM in a hybrid build, because I'm a quick-snipping weirdo, and I also use rudder mod instead of the DCSM 2. http://shipcomrade.com/captcalc/1000000011100010100001000000100019
  4. i watched videos before playing. so i knew about angling, armor choice, positioning, how game modes worked, carriers were cancer, etc... so from about day 1 i kinda knew, and then as open beta hit, I started really jumping up in abilities.
  5. Who have you seen in game

    easy squishy ship for muh farm also, i was terrified you'd be able to disengage, regain a bunch of health, and farm the crapout of my team until they lost.
  6. Who have you seen in game

    @Pulicat
  7. Look at muh stats, list3n to vut Aye half 2 say. U git guder, dat wae
  8. No? Well, let me introduce you to the tier 4 terror that is the best guncannoe there ever was. The Izzy is a russian tier 4 tech tree destroyer / absolute red DD murdering roflstomo boat with a 99.99 battle rating and is more than capable of outfighting the average Clemson or Shenyang ez-pk-cannoes. Armed with five long range russian bias flingers and enough torps to give anything some issues, the Izzy is ready to take the fight to everything, everywhere, at any and all times. And being a guncannoe she can dodge, bob, weave, and drift like a champion if there ever was one. Stealthy, and slim, but not to thin, the Izzy can pop up way to close for anyone's comfort and blast them into a salty flaming and sinking hunk of junk. Then, vanish like she's somehow cheating with her incredibly low detection range. Only a solid Clemson unicum has a chance against the Izzy in a fair fight. But the izzy doesnt play fair. Longer range, faster turrets, higher rate of fire and fire chance, that enemy Clemson best be praying to RNG when the Izzy appears! Now, lets be honest, the Izzy's torps arent the hardest hitting fish. They are numerous, but anemic. Good for padding extra damage in suicide ranges and trading for enemy cannoes and rowboats. But if theres one thing our Lord and Savior does, its the rush of battle, and the thrill of the hunt.
  9. 9 with Clemson, 7 in Kamikaze, but im calling it 11 because of my kills being stolen by two BB holding thier shots...
  10. Who have you seen in game

    @CatOnBoard Not sorry for those three citadels. You had to die that game. also @eurobeat in same game, I back-seat drove my BB's to kill you at the end.
  11. Sync drop in ranked

    @yashma I see you!
  12. BB dispersion variance. AND TORPEDO DISPERION VARIANCE. TO MANY TIMES HAS AN ENEMY SLIPPED THROUGH A CONVIENT GAP IN MY TORPEDOES BECAUSE A TORPEDO DECIDED TO PLAY KISSY-KISSY WITH THE TORPEDO TO ITS' LEFT OR RIGHT. BUT EVERY OTHER TORPEDO HAD PROPER AND EQUAL SPACING. BUT NO, THIS ONE TORPEDO, (SOMETIMES TWO!) ARE FOR SOME GOD FORSAKEN REASON..... TWENTY METERS TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT OF WERE THEY SHOULD BE.
  13. Temporary zoom of the minimap

    Press.... M.
  14. Tired of the OP Ship Thing

    uh, i was pretty casual when I did it, i barely even got it on the last day because of how casually I played (and because I hate IJN DD and didn't care about owning one, but a free premium is a free premium...) It was tedious, yea, but it wasn't geared towards specifically competitive players. Play a few games a day, or dozen or so on the weekend and it was pretty easy to get.
  15. Tired of the OP Ship Thing

    That was not a hard challenge to get the Kamikaze R. ...
