    Just lost my steel rat

Just had a guy in a game freely admitting he was using this exploit (forming a division with another rat then both running into the edge of the mist and then healing each other up). He refused to recognize it as an exploit (typical of exploiters to not see what they're doing is exploiting). Really wish we could name and shame cause this guy really deserves to be.

DD's going the way of the CV's

Smoke is beatable without radar or hydro. Here are some tricks to beat this kind of thing: Watch where fire is coming from in the cloud, fire where the shots are coming from, aim a little below where you see the shots are coming from (not at as you'll definitely miss). If you have a spotter aircraft, it gets even easier. Have a friendly torp armed ship fire a spread of torps into the smoke cloud. The more torps you do, the more likely they are to "flee" the smoke as they may take damage. If you have a CV in the game, have them do manual torp drops on the cloud covering large areas of the cloud.

So, you completely ignored the post that called you out for not using the statistic properly because you obviously weren't paying attention. You regurgitated data/statistics without knowing the meaning behind said statistics. Let me point you back to that information: So yeah, you do't know what you're talking about, you regurgitate statistics without knowledge of said statistics, and then act like your "facts" are genuine when you're being disingenuous. I think that pretty much sums you up.

DD's going the way of the CV's

Data is meaningless if you don't know what you're looking at. If you paid attention to your own data, you'd realize a couple things. First, for DDs, YY is the top DD which can mount radar, is a great anti-DD DD, and typically captain builds are oriented towards gun builds, not torp builds. Second, Khaba is a total gun build DD that typically mounts health instead of smoke and tends to run as a screener for your team going after DDs that sneak through or punish CA/Ls and BBs that over extend and can also play the roll of a spotter while running around the back lines of the enemy harashing BBs. Finally, the Z-52 is more often setup as a DD hunter because of its long range hydro and quick reload of both guns and torps. The DD that is best for capping due to its really low detectability comes in tied for last on win rate (I'm more surprised the Groz didn't place a little higher as IMO, it's a better gun boat, with two less guns, than the Khaba because it's more maneuverable with even better rail gun muzzle velocity as well). The other thing you failed to notice, which I did, was the average experience per game. Even the top DDs are getting less average experience than the worst BBs and are only equal to the middle CA/Ls. Just remember, "there are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics" - Benjamin Disraeli (oft quoted by Mark Twain).

DD's going the way of the CV's

I realize you're basically arguing the same issue that I am, but,"Two or more months"? Do you realize that DDs have been being nerfed most patches since the game went live? And I'm not talking about people getting better with playing (learning how to use WASD), I'm talking active nerfs against DDs. With all the nerfs that happened with the CVs, look how few CV players there are now. The only ones that stuck with it were the CV mains and they're dwindling as well. The consistent and ongoing nerfs to DDs has damaged the perception of the game already, why do you think so many people refer to this game now as "World of Battleships"?

DD's going the way of the CV's

Well, I can tell you don't understand how to fire at ships in smoke. If you actually knew, you wouldn't be just blatting out whatever you have in the way of guns. As noted by someone else, having a spotter aircraft makes it a whole lot easier to hit someone sitting in smoke if they're shooting (that's the key). Even if you don't have a spotter aircraft it isn't hard. Look where the shots are coming from, if the target sitting in smoke is stupid and sits in one spot (not moving under reverse or ahead 1/4 speed) they can be reliably hit. I don't know how many times I've seen someone sitting in smoke, no radar or hydro up, I can reliably hit them and then I hear from the enemy chatter, "YOU HAXXOR, HOW ARE YOU SEEING ME IN SMOKE?!?! I'M GOING TO REPORT YOU FOR HACKING!" when all I'm doing is paying attention to where I see the shots coming from and the person sitting in smoke is literally sitting in smoke (you don't typically see those comments in high tier games that much any more, but you will see it a ton in low tier games). As to your other assertions, that's completely laughable. I don't know if you've paid attention in higher tier games now, but I've noticed that I may be the only DD or maybe one of two DDs on a team with a team list that looks like 3 or 4 BBs (one being a Mo) and then 6 or 7 CA/Ls where maybe a IJN or German CA is in the mix on each side and the remaining ships are either US, Russian, or RN CA/Ls (so about 5 to 6 radar capable ships per side). Also, have you noted all the complaints about CVs over the last years (mostly from BB players). How many CVs do you see in games nowadays except at the low tiers? You'll see a lot of T6 and below CVs, at T7 some here and there, at T8+ they're extremely rare (like 1 in 20 games kind of rare). If radar continues down the path it's going, DDs at high tiers are going to go the way of CVs (lots at the low tiers, but getting rarer as you go up the tiers). Hell, even Flambass made a video on how extremely difficult it was to play a DD in this past round of ranked because of how weighted against DDs it was to maintain stars and gains stars in going for a #1 ranking (he still did it, but he's a Unicum player). When unicum players are saying how bad something is, even for them, you should take note and listen (and as you can see, I'm no where near that, but I note what unicum players say). And to your last point, yes, this is a team game, you realize that your DDs are trying to help the team by spotting and taking objectives. If they can't perform those duties because of being consistently spotted due to radar, then they're basically a lost team member cause they can't do what they're meant to do to help the team.

You're forgetting, DDs also have low armor, low health, they take full damage from almost all forms of HE (it's rare to see HE shatters except against the Khaba). You seem to fail at realization that DD concealment IS life for them.

The fact that you have privacy set, where as I do not, shows me that the paranoid one is you. What do you have to hide? Likewise, there's a difference between paranoia and trust, you're showing the former by hiding behind privacy settings, I'm showing the latter as I'm calling into question your sincerity on what you say.

Then remove the privacy filter so all can see. I don't trust someone who sets things private and then says things like you've said. Nothing paranoid when I don't have information that is important and taking someone's word for what they have on the internet isn't something I do, ie, screenshot or it didn't happen

Sure, if you go down to my health, go down to my gun range. Still want to play the game? And as to giving up my smoke, I play the Khab with the heal, not the smoke.

How about posting on your main account so we can see what you truly are playing. My best is you're a BB main and got seal clubbed one too many times by a DD when you were low in the tiers.

DD's going the way of the CV's

How about I add in mobile spotting, ie CVs? How about adding all those ships with Hydro? Now there are more ships with Hydro, mobile aircraft (don't just go in a circle), and radar ships than ships with smoke. Care to continue playing that game? If you continue down the slippery slope, next will be the CAs to go, then all you will have is World of Battleships (some would argue that is what this game is already at at high tiers).

DD's going the way of the CV's

I have to laugh at all the BB players that are like, it's not an issue in high tier games, or "git gud n00b", do you trash talkers realize that there are 19, yes 19 radar capable ships that can/will be seen in T10 games (once a couple come out of testing)? Here's the list of ships: Standard ships: Baltimore, Cleveland, Chapeyev (B Hull), Edinburgh, Hseinyang, Buffalo, Seattle, Dimitri Donskoi, Neptune, Chung Mu, Des Moines, Worchester, Moskva, Minotaur, Yue Yang Reward Ships: Black, Missouri, Krondstadt, Stalingrad Possible change: Grozovoi So, there you go, 19 ships that can equip radar in a T10 match. Then you throw in that most of these ships running with a concealment build get spotted and can't spot who's spotting them knows it's a DD and the DD is within Radar range (because the radar range is more than the spotting range of a concealment build) so they pop it and everyone becomes a seagull from Finding Nemo: When next you play a T10 domination match and your DD refuses to go for objectives, now you know why. Radar is an issue and it needs to be fixed.
