    Update 0.10.3 - German Destroyers: Part 1

Hello Happa! I reported an issue with torpedo wakes in the previous update. The changes that were made in 10.3 have addressed the problem perfectly. Torpedoes are now visible again!!! Thank you WG for your swift resolution of this issue. Sincerely, Synystarr
  2. Hello Happa. I opened a ticket with WG CS this morning about the changes to torpedo wake graphics and was told to post about the problem here. I am hoping this can be addressed quickly by the devs as it truly is game breaking for those of us with eye disabilities. If it is harder for a person with "normal eyesight" to see the new torp wakes it is downright crippling to someone like me who had a hard time seeing the old ones! This is a game, not a movie or an art project, and graphics should first and foremost convey important game information to the player efficiently and THEN look nice as 2nd priority. This is something WG has always strived for and done well since I started playing this game in 2015 and clearly WG meant to improve ease of gameplay with this patch by reworking shell splash effects to reduce the problem of targets being obfuscated. However, clearly there was an oversight with this torpedo wake issue and I trust that you will resolve it quickly!!! Thank you for your help in this Here are my detailed observations from the ticket I opened earlier today: Yesterday's visual update was a huge shock and disappointment for me. In the new patch 10.2, there was a change to torpedo wake graphics. They used to be bright white and are now ... invisible? I suffer from colorblindness and I could never easily see the red triangles of enemy torps. I thus relied 100% on the bright white wakes to dodge enemy torps. Now that the wakes are so faint/a color I cannot see, I'm unable to even attempt to avoid torpedoes. I have tried the colorblind modes but they don't really help much with seeing torps better and they make the whole game look ugly since they modify the color of the whole screen. As I mostly play DDs and I like mostly competitive game modes like Clan Battles and Ranked so this is a huge problem for me and my clan. I am left wondering if I can even play this game the way I have since Beta? Here are some suggestion of fixes: A) Allow players to select what color the enemy icons are from ANY color (I would probably make them bright yellow or orange for myself as that is a color I can easily see) B) Go back to the old torpedo wake graphics, either as an option for players to chose or outright. C) Make the new wakes more visible from the front. I noticed that the new wakes look very different when viewed from the back and from the front. I can see the wake of torps I launch just fine but the ones coming at me are invisible. D) Add an option for alternative torpedo wakes in the ModStation. There are options for all kinds of shell tracers but I could not find anything for torpedoes. Many of the torpedo assets used in the BIG HUNT mode I can see much better so just letting me select those would be a huge improvement. I was really excited for these new graphics and while the explosions, fires, smoke etc look good, this torpedo wake issue has rendered the game more or less unplayable for me and it truly breaks my heart. Thank you for your consideration.

Incoming torpedo visibility got worse in 10.2
