    Modern NATO fleet

    It's sexy.
  2. No idea why Lert would ever want Bogatyr Black. Looks at profile Ah.
  3. What was the process for having the documents procured? I did contact the Nat. Archives (in College Park, ML) about getting some stuff from NavTechEU, but alas they said the same thing I figure they said to you: get someone to do it professionally or come by yourself. Have any advice
  4. Need permission for the album. However, this is an extremely great find. Someday, I can finally get crapoutta the National Archives like I've been wanting to for years and share all that NavTechEU over the face of the internet. Someday. In the meantime, I'll be taking all of these pictures, thank you. :^)
  5. Thanks for getting that to me. None of my...frankly limited...sources have anything for it, and I have some extremely good sources.
  6. From what I can tell, Genova looks like a widely reconstructed San Giorgio. That's where my bets are. Not sure anyone else has noticed it yet. Guess I'm the only one who kind of likes the look of Genova. Bigsad: 100

Always glad to have you around for clarifications regarding issues like these. I can see why you like Zara so much.

Also, can I just say that Paolo Emilio - despite almost certainly being fake - is one of the hottest ships I've seen thus far? I mean, come on. Usually I only get hard-ons for flush-deckers, but this

It's more like they tried a mix between cruiser and DD stats, considering her nature. Her HP pool is absolutely indicative of that effort, as is her supermassive detection range. I'm highly amused, since Mogami hits just 9.8km with CE. That said, I understand they've recently buffed her, cutting down that horrendous detection range (8.6km) and upper her ROF to 9.23 RPM (6.5s). Though honestly, I would prefer to have seen C.R. as a tier 5 cruiser. Phoenix and I concurrently worked on Capitani Romani proposals of our own here and here. In light of the new developments with Paolo Emilio I certainly plan to do a redo of Guichen as soon as possible. My proposals have grown quite a lot since that initial one. Probably will do a supermassive extravaganza thread, with tier 5 CL and tier 7/8 DD variants, all under a single...horribly complex...roof. Probably will do another Capitani Romani too. There's a pretty unique one I'm sure will definitely become a premium either way.

Regarding the post you made on Zara and Admiral Hipper and their armor values. Momentarily looking through some sources, I've deduced that Zara comes out in the lead - somewhat slightly - in terms of raw armor value. However, there are a few other factors that come into play about how effective the overall survivability of the ship is. In general, I'd say Hipper wins in terms of survivability. She features something of a TDS and is noted for being quite rugged and well-compartmentalized. In a close range duel, the victor would almost certainly be Hipper. That's where she belongs, and her armor is most effective at that distance. At longer ranges, it may be a coin toss. Without pulling up penetration tables or taking tactics of either sides into account, I can say that - from what I can recall about Italian gunnery - Zara's accuracy will suffer, and will likely have a harder time landing shells on Hipper until they've closed. Zara's AP will hurt more, but Hipper has the edge in ROF. Regarding overall armor effectiveness, consult Phoenix. I understand this wasn't an argument about survivability, but armor, but I feel this is more complete than throwing out some arbitrary values that appear to have come from Wikipedia. They're not too bad though, just nowhere near as extensive. Sources are Heavy Cruisers of the Admiral Hipper Class (Koop & Schmolke) and Gli Incrociatori Italiani. Oh, you too. @goldeagle1123. There ya go.

    Italian tier X cruiser

    That's most likely it.

Not Ansaldo. That will almost certainly be T10 Steel or Coal. Some crazy, fake design with 203's is more likely. If you're reserved on that (the thought of bull-s designs), just realize that Paolo Emilio already exists. Speaking of Paolo Emilio, I wonder what the tier 10 DD is now that she's a premium? This based off the camo and premium status in her name from the pictures.
  13. Been talking around in Discord awhile and came up with some stuff. Paolo Emilio is essentially a Montecuccoli and C.R. smashed together. It's a premium (noted above) and that leaves the t10 DD slot open. I can see Paolo being for steel, or maybe even coal. This observation was made by Phoenix_jz. The Ansaldo 3x3 254mm (37 kn) design will likely be T9 FXP/coal or T10 steel. Probably T10 steel with Paolo being T10 coal. Italians only had really one type of torpedo, and it's garbage. Inaccuracy may be a con for them. That's it for now. Everything else has been already said. Bring me the pasta. And a tier 5 Scipione Africano premium cruiser.
  14. The only exceptions to this that I know of are the later-war powered mounts for the 12.7cm/40 Type 89 (The B1 mounts) which could traverse at a surprising speed of 16 deg/sec. That, and perhaps some dual 12cm/45 10th Year Type mounts. Both were used in a DP role.
