      It Rommelspagle (probably misspelled that) or "Rommel's Asparagus" it was used in Normandy to counter glider and airborne troops. He actually planned to put old captured French munitions on them to make them even more effective and deadly. They were so simple yet very effective, the Allies changed the Overlord plans constantly because of these things. In fact Pegasus Bridge was sopposed to have this installed in the fields around it where the gliders were supposed to land on June 6th, the supplies were found by the commandos during the raid.
