    On the CCTP&Missouri

47 Pages of posts in 16 hrs? Quick someone call Guinness Book of Records, WG you've done it. Your non denial, denial, post which can in only the loosest terms possible be referred to as an "apology" has managed to farm almost 1200 posts in 16 hrs, let me be the first to congratulate you all (you know who you are @shonai_@Sub_Octavian) on this momentous accomplishment!!!

    On the CCTP&Missouri

Your off on the timeline for #3. I can tell you exactly how long it will be, 135 days...
  3. SO which is it, is WG just stupid, inept, full of brown liquid, or incapable of speaking anything that resembles truth? If this was all about greed, i.e. We need another loot box gimmick that we know people will blow $$$$ on, lets re-release Missouri. Well if that was the only reason, it was quite simple, and could have been a PR win to boot. Have a CC generated cammo made for the Missouri, one that celebrates VJ day (although last year would have made more sense being it was 75th anniversary), and release a Missouri VJ ship or call it something else, (like all the copy paste Black ships), and take the ATM off this copy of the Missouri. Leave the original Missouri alone, problem solved, PR win, WG stuffs pockets from all the loot box spending. Instead they come up with this plan? I am sure the devs told them we can't just tack on a mission and not screw with the earnings of the original ship, but then the devs lied to L W M when she formed the question to them without any room for misinterpretation (in WG speak AKA as miscommunication). So are they really so lazy they couldn't make a copy of this ship? Considering they had to go into the Missouri credit system and put a rope around the ATM code and rip it out of her commissary like it was a late night robbery of an ATM inside a convenience store. The obvious answer is they wanted to nerf the earning power of the ship, period... So they add this 17% mission, which they have to add manually every year, if anyone can't see whats coming Jan 1 2022, your in denial. So if you sit and think about this from what was easiest for them to do while still hauling in their loot box gambling money, making a copy was the simpler way to do this, but they purposely did not go that direction... or they are just really stupid and not one person at WG had the brain power to think this through.

    Missouri Bonus

The credit Nerf is not a surprise, it will also be fun when they tell you all (I don't have a Misery, I stopped playing for 3 years) that they can't make it work how it used to cause its A. Too complicated, B. Game engine can't handle it, etc... They will then buff the mission to say 20% from 17% and say there we listened to your concerns. The best part of all this is that their greed is so stupidly short sided, selling loot boxes to get the Missouri (minus the mission) when if they did their research they would have realized that the one major incentive for people to buy Xmas crates was to try and get the Missouri that had the ATM machine installed on board, now that you can't get that Missouri from a Xmas crate, so why buy any crates ever again? Although maybe with the pending legal issues around the money laundering investigation, they are trying to make some extra cash quick for when they disappear to a country with no extradition... https://amicohoops.net/us-law-enforcement-agencies-have-launched-an-investigation-of-the-illegal-activities-of-globalmoney-llc-and-wargaming-llc-and-their-management/

    Do CVs Belong in WoWS?

Sigh, the underlying issue with CV's in the game is the simple fact that 7/10 matches that contain a CV in them, you typically have 1 CV player who has at least double if not more the avg damage output as the CV player on the other team. So my issue is it completely unbalances the match as unlike if say the enemy team has a very good player in a smolensk, I can counter that threat by focusing it even it if means sacrificing my ship in the process, however since a CV can sit in the back with insanely stupid concealment, having stupid mechanics like auto DC, burning for only 5 secs, can't detonate, etc.., I can't simply yolo a CV (normally) to eliminate that threat. Simply put, if the enemy team has a highly skilled CV player and my team has a CV player who hails from Idaho, overcoming that imbalance is 10 times harder than overcoming that same scenario if say my team has an ARP Yamato player with 40 account battles vs a guy on the enemy team in a Yamato who averages 140K damage... IF Weegee can't/won't/too drunk on Vodka to code it into MM to do so/ fix MM to balance the CV players skills, then they need to remove them or give me a nifty switch that allows me to go into randoms and not get a CV in my MM. One last note, in the first match in the FDR, I'd have reported the piss out of this guy for going out of his way to make sure that match was a loss, he completely ignored/refused to focus the Hindy who was going around killing everything, talk about a great example of damage farming in a CV.

How did your Puerto Rico grinding go?

Here is what pisses me off about this entire event, I bought one booster at the start. Then I figured I will play the directives and see where I am, on Monday afternoon (the 6th) I logged in, realized I was most likely going to only get through directive 5 because I don't have 200 ships in my port, and I am basically out of signals at this point (I was a CBT tester and played up till maybe the German BB line came out and took a two year break more or less so I have not been stockpiling signals for years). So I decide to buy the second booster which at that point since it said I would finish 34 of 36 stages, that booster would push it over and it would only cost me 14000 doubloons to get the ship. I go buy the extra doubloons I need for the 8K, then find out, oh that's awesome, they stopped selling the boosters the night before. Yes blaa blaa blaa I should have read all the rules and fine print, but who thinks they would be ballsy enough to stop selling the boosters early, but yeah it is WG after all I guess. Now they can try and tell me they did this to avoid people being butt hurt that they bought a booster late and still didn't get the ship, but we all know they stopped selling it so that people like me would either have to pay 15000 doubloons (21K if you count the first booster) to finish the ship, or say screw it and leave that stupid thing in the shipyard as a reminder until the end of time... Not to mention if I "buy it now" for 15K I don't get the 10K coal for stage 35 either...
  7. To me this legendary mod is trash. What they could have done (and this would be historical, so even better) is take the 3 current types of torps available now on the Shimy, average their reload times, and make the legendary mod be a mod that allows you to select the range you want to fire your torps at. Historically it was of course the same torpedo, the torpedo officer set the torpedo's based on the range they needed to fire at, thus increasing or lowering the torpedo speed accordingly. I know they would have to work that into the game mechanics, but given the shimy has repair, smoke, and speed boost, they should be able to add a key (like with the depth charge crap) to allow you to switch ranges. Now that would be a legendary mod worth having on my Shimy...
