The reason I left the ST program was any feedback we gave seemed to be ignored. I put time in testing, roughly 20hrs a week while I was in ST and when we raised issues nothing came of them or changed. At least WG is consistent in not giving a damn I guess.

2 days before all this came to light I had re-upped my premium and bought a good chunk of doubloons. While it has been obvious for a while this was getting worse, I like probably a lot of people buried my head in the sand and refused to admit it. Now that all this is out in the open, I'm done spending money on this or any other WG title. From this point on I am a F2P player. I don't expect WG will care but I do and I'm done giving them my money. Once my premium time is done, I'm done and gone. I have no illusions that WG will change how they do things but I refuse to support it any further.

Its funny, I took 2 years off from WoWS because I got frustrated and burned out. I came back a few months ago and I have slogged through the game and some of the new lines that came out in my absence. I had hoped things would have changed for the better in those 2 years but they have not. It feels like more things cost doubloons now than they did before, these new hybrid ships are...well to be blunt a terrible idea. I have an Ise and have run a 3x Ise div a few times and yeah these have no place in this game. The removal of det flags blows my mind, its just a crapshoot at this point. Years ago WG said they would NEVER release subs as they admitted they had no clue how to balance them. Fast forward and today we get subs in-game and I am very skeptical they have made any headway on balancing what they called the unbalancable. All of that and it still blows my mind we have to use a 3rd party mod package for some of the simplest crap. I foresee another hiatus in my near future.

I wasn't implying you were angry, I was talking about the other people posting the "My game is broke and it's your fault" type comments versus simplying saying something like "Hey, I've run into this issue, any suggestions?" It would just be nice if people would step back and take a breath before throwing out attitude about an issue.

There is a reason Aslain suggests you create a backup of your res_mods folder before installing, maybe next time read before just hitting next. Skull_Helmet, these things people are pointing out are really basic computer skills and troubleshooting steps. I know not everyone is as computer savvy as others, but asking for help versus people getting angry would generate better responses and results from those of us trying to help. What it basically comes down to is, if you really want to use Aslain's mod pack, first thing you should do is make a copy of your res_mods folder and rename it res_mods_backup. If a person isn't comfortable performing even this basic of a task then maybe they shouldn't be installing applications that make changes to their files.

With the mods I use, renaming the folder didn't cause any issues. However all I use are tracers, mini carousel, F Key disable, timer, and a different crosshair.

Or just delete the 0.5.0.2 folder and rename the 0.5.0.1 folder to 0.5.0.2.

No problem A lot of people forget that they need to make the change every patch, and if you modified your engine_config file you need to update that again as well each patch.
