Stay with the group or go lone wolf as a sub?

Very helpful advice from an experienced WOWS submariner. Thank you.
  2. What is the most helpful way to play subs in their current state? Be just in front of a group of team mates and fire torps? Or go out alone and try to hunt things down? How have you had most of your success?

Can You Find my Win Rate?

I just want to be only able to see them myself. Private.

Can You Find my Win Rate?

Thanks. I am already finding myself only playing the ships I win most with, even when I am bored. That's not fun. I love to learn new things. Unfortunately, learning means dying and/of little damage, and a lower win rate.

Can You Find my Win Rate?

Correct. WOW Stats and numbers cannot see it. I am on my own keeping track with the standard page that I can see privately.

Can You Find my Win Rate?

I have set it to private but I am wondering if anyone can find it with a player search or something. I know, I know, pay no attention to it. That's what people say. But I will just feel better and play much more relaxed, if my lower win rate as I learn the many ships and tiers, is private. For me only. I have tried to take the advice and ignore what losses do to my stats. But I cannot seem to ignore it. I do not want to worry about wins that much, other than for my own personal goals.

Subs Gone - Captains gone. Any refunds of anything?

Is this the way they've done it on submarines ever since they've been in the game? You have to do a combat mission to rent them for a while? And you say this has been done 19 times now?

Subs Gone - Captains gone. Any refunds of anything?

OK, so the rental expired, and I have to do the 12,500 XP to get them again. I saw the modules I added were removed. Where did they go? And as far as captains, I did not see them in my US captains. I am confused as to how all this works.
  9. I played lots of subs and upgraded them, and their captains. Do I get a "refund" of anything now? Or did I just "pay to play" and help them test submarines?
  10. It was a pretty detailed survey. It asked you for specifics about your experience both playing subs and playing against them, with different ships. I hope they publish the results. Regardless of what they do about subs.
  11. I do not recall where the official survey pop-up was, but it just popped up on my screen and asked me to take it.
  12. WG will be tabulating the results from their main page popup official submarine survey. Yes, there is lots of anger on the forums about subs. But I wonder what the "quiet majority" will say on the survey. And what WG will do. And if subs are removed, will people get back XP and captains they invested in subs on the live server, I wonder.

So you submariners feel like you really affect the game much?

Interesting. Things have now changed since you gave them a try on the test server. On the live server today the conventional torpedoes are at 6.3km range at T8 and T10. T6 only has the homing torpedos. Also, I believe they have changed the dive capacity significantly lower now. Balao has about 4 minutes of air time. German subs have 6:10 at T10, but less at T8 or T6. I wonder what they will do with subs after this current "test" is over. We will see.

You are thinking of the long range "homing torps". The subs have those as well. They are not nearly as powerful as their conventional torps.

I was talking about the conventional torps. They go 6.3 km. And when you are at periscope depth that close, you can get spotted. Red ships send out the hydro and planes.
