I actually don't think that's it. If you read the beginning: The dictionary assigns a different number for each of the different vowel sounds. If you notice, the "1st" vowel sound for "y" is the "ee" sound in "Lovely". The Warspite pronunciation is using the "2nd" vowel sound for "y", which is the "I" sound. Look at the markings in the pronunciation guide for "Admiral". There's a little "1" over the "y". This means you're supposed to use the "1st" vowel sound of "y". So according to the Dictionary, really, it should be "Ad-mee-ral"

Totally off topic since not Kancolle, but whatever. Huh. The Razgriz theme played in the beginning, There's an Osean roundel on the F-22. The game is numbered and not titled something like "Assault Horizon" or "Infinity". I think strangereal is back.

Hmm... Does it still count if it's indirectly named for Otto von Bismarck? I mean, the ship is named after North Dakota's capital, which is named after Bismarck the man.

I actually completed E-3 with a lvl 1 Hamakaze. She finished at like level 10. Interestingly enough, she actually was never the one who was 1-shot to red. It was either Haguro, Myouko, Yukikaze or Fubuki, all of which are some of my higher level ships. In fact, it wasn't until she was lvl. 7 at the boss node when she was first damaged to anything below yellow health.

    But it's still not WW2.

If November would allow, of course. Not skimpy enough. Honestly, how a ship looks generally ends up being around 20% historical reference and 80% November going "I think this looks nice". As for the modern day frogmen/SEAL team look, well, these are ships from the 40s and before, so we tend to stray away from modern technology. For instance, If I could give Lexington an upgrade to her Springfield I totally would. (Mk.14 EBR, anyone?) But the modern rifle would detract a bit from the whole WW2 tech theme.

Not like the Japanese were using folding wings either, at least not like the Americans did.

But I don't think you have to bag on the F-35 just because it's bad at something it's not fully designed to do. It's like going the F-15E Strike Eagle is a horrible design because it can't dogfight as well as the fighter F-15. It won't be forced to dogfight all the time, but occasionally it will have to do it. We also happen to live in a world where generally it's whoever shoots first wins. Thanks to BVR and off-boresight shots, it's probably better to focus on good aircraft sensors and detection systems than it is to focus on super maneuverability on a strike fighter. In theory, anyway. We'll never know unless the F-35 goes into battle.

The Iowas probably aren't popping up in Pacific proper until later. They aren't appearing in vol. 2, that's for sure. I can almost guarantee you they won't be appearing in Vol. 3. Hell, getting O'bannon in Vol. 2 was a stretch. The Iowas are being illustrated because: 1. They're important to Pacific's lore. 2. They're popular. I'd argue that the Iowa class BBs are just as much of a symbol of American naval power as a Nimitz Class CVN. 3. Iowa and Wisconsin were illustrated before Pacific was a thing. New Jersey was illustrated right before Pacific's inception. Might as well finish the sisters off, right?

It took me way too long to realize you weren't talking about the Chinese light tank. I am an idiot.
