Is there a USN bias in this game

Mahan is really good for a t7 DD the only real downside it has is the concealment, but gets much more favorable matchmaking than Benson does, with actually really busted DPM for a t7 DD. Torps do less than average for the tier, but you get a lot of them, and you will hit just as many as you would with Benson, with the option of another launcher on the other side. Mahan is really hard to fight on your own, without teammate support + zoning it out with superior concealment. WV is literally a Colorado downtiered without the buffed USN heal, as opposed to something like Mutsu, which has HORRIBLE guns on a much worse platform. The guns are no joke. I personally hate it, but the ship is assuredly very strong. Warspite's gun have pen issues which will cause you to become frustrated on things you cannot overmatch. Mass and Georgia get overpowered gimmick heals, and Georgia gets the ridiculous speed. One of the only battleships that can win a game with good active plays, rather than good overall map positioning. Can get you killed if you don't use it properly, but it is a tool that's very possible to win a game with. Musashi is flat out busted due to it keeping the most important things of Yamato, but Georgia's gimmicks are seriously ridiculous. NC hits what you shoot at, which is a very overpowered trait for a BB. Has been the meta BB in any competitive game mode since the beginning of time because of this reason, only really getting contested by Mass cause it's more OP in most situations now, Tirpitz for specific plays with the torps, and Vlad.

bruh I used to think soviet bias was a meme but

Having a citadel that you can actually hit is not a strong defense against being OP. If you aren't a complete space cadet, that citadel weakness is a non-factor, and the only thing keeping it somewhere within the realm of reality. It's much, much easier to work around than Yamato's is, at the VERY least.

Des Moines, Salem, Baltimore, Fletcher, Mahan, Flint, Black, Georgia, Massachusetts, NC, WV, with Missouri as as stretch. These are the only American ships that I can even REASONABLY classify as OP, with only Des Moines, Flint, Black, Massachusetts, and Georgia being the most egregious offenders, and only through virtue of being objectively very powerful. The USN has just as many dumpster fires as they do good ships, and it's hard to say that things like Baltimore and Mahan are OP by virtue of just being competitive at tiers where most things are a mess. Hilariously, the plating changes, if they go through, are going to hurt Montana at doing the only half reasonable thing it was good at, that being popping Des Moines.

You know Kremlin went through testing too, right? With any amount of luck, Nevsky will ONLY be the most competitive in its role, instead of nearly invalidating every other pick outside of niche roles.
  5. Excellent bait, man. One of the better ones I've seen recently.

PSA: PR Harassment Needs to Stop

WG DESIGNED THIS EVENT to prey on people before the cat is out of the bag, they officially obfuscated the details for two days, hoping to sucker in people who thought they were making a good investment. My post from another thread: I wouldn't harrass anyone for this, they've already been swindled enough, and it's not nice to pick on people who don't know any better. Just common sense to me, imo. Am I angered and inherently judge people who have PR at the moment? Absolutely, similar to how you'd feel if you'd see a friend/neighbor knee deep in MLM, or making some blatantly poor investment. You want to try to tell them they've made a mistake, there's lots of people telling them they've been scammed, but when you're on the kool-aid, nothing will get through, they'll defend their sunk cost for an indeterminate amount of time until only they can see they've been scammed. It'll only serve to give me momentary happiness by taking out my frustration on someone where the blame doesn't truly lie.

Arc idea: What's old is new again

Makes sense. I personally would love that and it would be really positively received by everyone. Expending resources on content that doesn't make them money does not, though. They need that gamblebox money. Will never happen.

it's pretty hot (more seriously though, it's mostly fine, outside of some very Colbert and Smolensk related issues)

Come on WG t8 clans and no CV?

You have much more patience than I do trying to explain it to this person. Anyway, I'm a CV main since the rework, and I can say with certainty that they completely destroy any illusion of a level playing field. CVs should remain banned in CBs due to their extreme influence and how much they change the game. Regardless of comp, CBs generally play out in the same way, but CVs turn everything on its head, and force you to play in obtuse or counter-intuitive ways; you really want to do a certain thing, lets say flank out by yourself cause you see an opening, you can't do that anymore due to the threat of a CV eliminating your concealment, or just killing you outright without even having to expend plane resources. I'll lose 1-2 planes at most striking a solo mino or wooster, I really could not care less what ship is trying to be relevant, they're all dead to me. I may shamelessly ruin the game for everyone and take sadistic pleasure in abusing it while WG takes the "too big to fail" approach, but I can be honest. If you think CVs belong in CBs, you have no idea what you're talking about. And I say that with love. P.S. This isn't even taking into account that, pound for pound, t8 premium CVs are the most powerful. Saipan is hilariously busted, Kaga is extremely strong, and Enterprise's AP bombs are a big threat to cruisers, while having VERY user friendly torps against all targets.
  14. I've never liked Zoup but he's absolutely right here. This needs to be heard.
