Hi everybody!

A friend asked me to make him a The Man in the High Castle flag mod, and I though that maybe it would interest some people.

This changes the United States flag for the Greater Nazi Reich flag (Nazi occupied US) and the Japanese flag for the Japanese Pacific States flag (Japanese occupied US).

Download

version : 0.6.4.0

***Disclaimer*** I'm completely ignorant about this serie/book, so if anything is off, please let me know. Also, I'd like to know if there are any UK/China/other nazified flags.

Long and short of it: It's an alternate history novel written about a decade or two after WWII. The Germans have occupied everything east of the Rockies, and the Japanese have occupied everything to the west of the Rockies, with the Rockies themselves serving as a weak and nominally sovereign-yet-unrecognized buffer state. The two powers exist in a state of cold war now, as theirs was an uneasy alliance to begin with and the dominate ideologies are basically race based (Aryan vs. Yamato). An American nationalist movement (in the sense of creating a sovereign nation-state for American people) is taking hold as well, threatening to become an open rebellion and destabilize the fragile equilibrium.

Within the alternate history novel is a banned alternate history novel which posits a world in which Japan and Germany lost WWII, leading to a conflict between the United States of America and the British Empire. (The British Empire ultimate wins for being 'purer', reflecting the world the novel is written in.)

Another alternate history novel where the Nazis won the war in Europe (though Japan still lost) is "Fatherland", by Robert Harris.  The story takes place in 1964, and is essentially a murder-mystery detective story.  There was a film version of it made for HBO (with Rutger Hauer playing the story's protagonist) that's available on youtube, for those who might be curious.

Written by Phillip K. [edited]it won the Hugo award ( the science-fiction equivilant of the Pulitzer Prize) for best novel in 1963. He has written numerous  stories which have been adapted  for movies. These include "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep" (Blade Runner), "We Can Remember it for You Wholesale" (Total Recall), and "Minority Report" (same as book).

I can't wait for Season 2, though to be honest I liked the Trade Minister and Obergruppenfuhrer Smith more than the 'main' characters.

keep it updated anyway. the more people are made aware of the flag mod, the more will use it. Like my chinese flag mod. Not a lot use it, but I update it anyway since people still download it after each update
