Yeah, sorry, but I agree with Ice. Torps are one thing people need to be mindful of, even at longer ranges. If in doubt, don't launch. Or if there's a teammate downrange, accept the risk.

That's better. I haven't accidentally TKed anyone in a couple of months. I completely agree that 5 TKs in a month is outrageously excessive.

Well what about the 2 HP ship that deliberately collides with an ally That TK will be counted against the player who has done nothing wrong at all other than being hit by a suicidal ally

Which metric has more weight? The amount of damage dealt or delivering the final blow to a friendly?

 

Jingles posted a video a couple weeks back that showed an ally being set on fire by secondaries and burning down. The damage dealt wasn't much, but it was enough to send him to the bottom. 

 

Also, how does this account for friendly plane kills?

I never do. DD's are fast and change direction quickly. I've fired off torps with a 10km wide path for them and still managed to nail a friendly dd who was booking it in the opposite direction when I fired. Also, if you're a friendly dd and you get hit by torps from a cruiser or other dd that's 8+ km away that's your fault for not paying attention too.

Excellent stuff and needed imho!  Only thing I'd add to proactively deal with the shitpoasting, TKing whiners is maybe publish the lists each month of those who got punished so the random "I got banned, pink, warned" etc fool who thinks s/he can poast up and act all innocent can be directly confronted by the playerbase with their name on the list of those who've repeatedly TKed.

If this includes collision damage, then it's retarded. I collide/get crashed into like every other game, which technically is "team" damage. You get fined like a 100 credits for it.

I like this concept. Am guessing that there will be no way to sort the accidental damage from the intentional ones. Had an idiot steer into my line of fire before as well as torp path ( this DD was far away at the time but, sped up very fast ) cut in front of my intended target and got hit. That DD came point blank to the enemy to try to torp him. Very insane crazy DD player.

If its such a issue remove team damage....

 

If not.. leave it alone.

I know and it aggravates me. It's always the person who launched the torps never the person who sails into them at max range. 

 

Once in my fubuki I fired off a set of torps. 10k range. Enemy ship was at 9km and holding. Friendly ships where behind me and off at 17+km. At 9.9km range a friendly DD sailed into one torp. Ya, not my fault.
