Does anyone know if there are any heat maps, preferably broken down by ship class, of ship movements on each battle map?

If I'm in a BB I want to know where DD's usually congregate so I can avoid that area, if I'm in a DD I want to know where BB's are going so I can set up an ambush etc.

I generally know the likely movements of where ships go on most maps but I would like to refine this knowledge further. I have seen some tactical Map movement youtube videos which touch on this which were helpful.

Not that I know of, but I find that if you drive a DD a lot like you do, when you go drive a BB you start to get a sense about where they might be.  It isn't that hard to get sense of what someone might try to do.  The thing is that people are unpredictable, a noob BB captain might just do that suicidal run and it might just succeed because no one is expecting it.  Even worse a skilled BB captain might make that same run because he recognizes that the things that normally make it a suicidal run don't exist in this particular game.

Maps or no, you simply can't skip watching the mini map for what is going on in this particular battle.

General rule of thumb is that the DD love operating in compact Island clusters where Cruisers and Battleships have no ability to turn around once committed into the channel.  Makes it easy to go bowling with Torpedoes.

Big Race

Butthurt Bay is a big DD and CL hotspot.

I am insane. But I am not stupid. Maybe a little psychotic...

Good DD's control the middle of the map as it gives them the ability to strike stragglers in any direction behind cover and provide targets for Cruisers and BB's. They also can then assess whether or not they can get behind opponents quickly and be a huge pain in the [edited].

Bad DD's try and out flank opponents providing no spotting value until well into the game and are giddy if they can torp a CV.  Too bad the rest of the team already died.

I am resurrecting this thread because now, ONE YEAR THREE MONTHS LATER... heat maps would still be, at the very least, interesting. More likely they could show us more than we could expect we know.

Anyone think they'll ever come around to producing heat maps?

Do not like responding in a necro thread, sorry.

Well said and I agree with your OP as well.  Anime wouldn't be so creepy if the focus wasn't on bug eyed, d cup, pre teen girls in very little clothing.   That's not the message I would want daughters taking in as the way to be or to emulate in any way.

Well I'm just saving some photons from a duplicitous life, that's all... and pulling in a bit of history I thought. Considering how long it has been... I'm gonna have to guess nobody really feels the need to see heat maps for this game.

I would be interested in seeing them honestly, but in reality of your posting attention you will see a pattern to how players move around the map

Yeah... they are maps that track - in this case, by ship class - the paths taken by all ships engaged in battle on a specific map. They can be somewhat helpful in understanding "generally" where to expect a class of ship on any given map. They also help slightly nerdy data freaks who like to see that kind of stuff.

Here's a link Give it a second or two to load... then imagine the underlying map being one of our WoWS maps and you'll get the general idea.

Hmm.  That is pretty interesting.  Might be interesting to chunk it up by range of tier (e.g. movement for tiers 2-5).

Also by where ships died, by class.

I wonder why the heavy tanks love the outer roads so much.  Do they have better practical gun range?

If I am referring to the same map, I call that feature the 'Bend' cause that is what it looks like. Rather more 'politically correct', lol.
