The obvious one. And probably the one on everyone's mind:

Is this forum the first and best place to get info for participating in the alpha test for World of Warships?

And if not, where should we be looking?

We will release some details on Gamescon, but I cannot tell what exactly now-) It should be a surprise.

#1 When can some of us expect alpha invite?

#2  What will be system requirements

#3 Will the game utilize multiple cores instead of just 1 (WoT)

#4 How will the ships play? Do we get a single ship to command or do we get a flotilla to command?

My biggest question for this game is the following:

In WoT, the different maps all give very different games.  I don't know about WoWP.  In WoWS, how will each battle be made different from the others, other than just the ships on each team?  I can't really see how a map could be anything other than 60kx60k open water or such.  Would be very interested to know how you are planning to make each battle different.

1)We plan to start Alpha ASAP. Aplha inviting will have similar process to WoWP. Active and valuable forum members will be also invited to the Alpha.

2)It's quite hard to predict it right now. Probably a bit higher, than WoT.

3)We are working on imlementing this feature in all projects. Since we've bought BigWorld company the works receive quite a good speed-up. No ETA for now, though.

4)You will play single ship. Totally, in one battle you will see 26-34 players, depending on teams roster.

For those of us who missed or otherwise don't remember the WoWP alpha process, how does it go?

2. Im sure my lil 5700 series radeon card can handle it :p (better than the 3000 series onboard I had)

3. Utlizing multiple core will solve alot of FPS issues especially peeps with older comps...this would be a big pluss

4. Sweet...I can already see myself commanding a dessie....Laying waste to anything and everything that passes me...

Well, there are different variants - island area, a giant bay, sea coast, arena with sinking warships, reefs... We will make maps diverse -)

We will invite some people from focus groups and also open an application form on WoWS portal. Afterwards we will add Testers on daily basis.

I remember hearing something on the Wowp forums that sadi that Alpha testers for WoWP get in automatically into WoWS Alpha. Is this true or just wishfull thinking

Only the most active WoWP Alpha Testers.

will we be able to destroy the items on maps with our cannon?
such as there is a rock in the middle of the sea, will we be able to blow up that rock?
or will the rocks be invincible to any kind of cannon like those super elements in WoT?

For the Crew will it be like in WoT with say 5 specalized crew memebers(gunner,Radioman) or will it have say a number of crew like 2 thousand total sailers as potential critical hits.

Many items will have their destruction level, but I doubt that you will be able to destroy an island with your main caliber-)

Crew will be represented with main officers.
