Can i put in a request for a Des Moines Skin next :)?

looking back at it i guess they never camo'd the Des Moines class cruisers or if they did i cant find a photo of one.

It would seem you are correct.  (says the guy with non-historical camouflage in his signature)

Am currently looking at a USN Camo that I can put on her that will go with my other US skins. This is mainly because the Secondaries are used on the Cleveland, Baltimore, Essex, Gearing, and Atlanta. Yet, I do have a great one in mind that I will modify a bit to put on the Des Moines.

The Atlanta camo will probably by done by the end of the weekend.

I'll wager the 5" Mk 28  DPs will be showing up on the USS BBs as well. Guess that means MS-32 for everybody! :D

From historical perspective, I would love that; but from gameplay...if DP guns were properly represented, it would drastically change how people play — and people want "play", not realistic (read: terrifying) fleet action a lá the Pacific war.

Oh I will very much have to play around with the camo. I really dont mind creating different camos for people. I will simply let them know what is mirrored on other ships so they are not surprised

Oh and I just noticed this got stickied....:teethhappy: Thanks :honoring:

Sorry that was an art asset joke, not a gameplay comment.  The models and textures for weapons and modules are shared across different ships.  So for example changes to the skins for the Cleveland will appear on all ships that use the same sub components.  Hence my comment about him needing to Measure 32 all the things.

Tanz, Again with the Absolutly Beautiful Work. Doing for WOWS what he did for WOT. Attention to detail and Historical Accuracy is his trademark. Just two problems Tanz 1 not enough, fast enough{JK< Keep up the Great Work!!!!!) and 2 Why Arent you working for WG and getting paid for this ???? MODS pay attention, here you have an avid fan of your products and he is giving his time( ALOT of time ) to making this MORE enjoyable to the playerbase. I personally think he ought to be compensated for the effort. How about some love for Tanz . Give him some free in game stuff....he deserves it ( O.K. Ill get off my soapbox...for now ) OMG just put USS Houston on and I am in Love ( Shes so pretty!!!!! I dont want to send Her into battle) JK ....See ya on the Big Blue in my Pretty New Ship....THANK YOU TANZ!!!!!

I'd love a Great White Fleet scheme for the Des Moines or Gearing, preferably the Des Moines.

Des Moines was never camouflaged (according to USN records).

Nothing stopping it from getting some history based camo now, nothing like a good "what if" :)

Nice work! I'm using all the USS mod except the New Orlean one lol.

I'd like to see more camo skin for US DDs such as Fletcher class, they have some really cool camo!

Oh I hear you on the New Orleans :D. I intend on making a new one for her. I will be making DD skins. The main issue as I've said before is how a lot of ships use the same items (guns, directors, etc) so if I camo one..its colored on them all .

If you make a new New Orleans and its CA-38 in measure 32 that would be most excellent. :D
