USS New Orleans Class **Updated 16FEB16**

The USS New Orleans CA-32. She in the Measure 11 (Sea Blue Camo Style) seen on her in 1942.

File also has the version of the USS San Francisco as seen in 1944, in the MS-33/13D camo

USS Baltimore ** UPDATED 1FEB16**

Clean & Weathered Version

Here we have the USS Baltimore in her MS-32 Camo. this was a request from an EU player. Note that the Secondaries are also used on the Cleveland, Essex, and Gearing.

Gremyashchy **Updated 12DEC15**

I adjusted the older bright blue to now match the blue gray we see on the Soviet DDs.

Seen the Russian DD Gremyashchy I had to make a skin for her. This is her Arctic camo in September 1942. Now Ive seen the paint be either blue and grey but went with the blue to change it up.

Cleveand Class **Updated 28 JAN 16**

Files combined and weathered options

This was per request. She's the USS Houston in her MS-32/1D camo. In order for the camo to work correctly I had to make some slight adjustments to the 2nd hull, but it remains the same. Her secondaries are the same one seen on my Baltimore skin so it works out well.

I did the Cleveland as well. Yet, I kept her stock hull  in Haze Gray, and gave the MS-22 to the final version.

I also made the stock hull as a representation of the USS Cleveland CL-55. Once you upgrade she becomes the USS Vincennes CL-64.

Remember with this versions Secondaries and directors will effect other ships

Atlanta Class: USS San Juan  **Updated 26 OCT 15**

So I've gone back and reworked this skin to a better and more accurate-ish colors style. I have also weathered her down some to get rid of the "plastic" look.

So here we have the USS San Juan as she looked in October of 1944 in her MS33/24D (also seen it called 22D) style camo.

I've also put in the Atlanta Class in the Measure 22 camo. Yet, according to USN Ships Camouflage 1941-1945 none of the class actually wore this exact version (also why I didn't give her a hull number). Also, if you use this camo every ship that uses the same director and 5 inch guns will change to this version . The way the files are, it just cant be helped.

Des Moines (I had intended to finish this skin off earlier but things came up)

Now this is a "what if" camo on her. the Des Moines Class never used any camo and so I had to try to find one that went welll with her and her secondaries due to my other skins.

I had gone with the MS-33 version seen on the USS Pittsburgh, but came to find a very large section at the waterline that was mirrored on each side. That issue kept me from doing her exact camo, so I had to go with the style she had on her port side and tweak away.

I did my best to keep her in the style seen on the US CAs.

Omaha Class

So I finally updated this thing.

I went with the USS Raleigh in her MS32 camo for the first and second hulls. The final hull turns her into the USS Richmond in her MS32/3D seen in 1944.

Enjoy and More to come

Well with the release of the UK line I was very excited. Then I saw that brown color they used :amazed::angry:

I couldn't have that for the HMS Warspite. So I totally changed her. Every single file has been repainted and adjusted for this skin.

HMS Warspite **Updated 26 Dec 15**

File now contains a weathered version. I have reworked the wooden deck to the actual teak deck colors for both versions.

Remember that this is a almost total repaint of all the UK files.

Now this camo is from 1942, but its one she used after her refit which gave her more AA and the like. I just liked the look more than the other I had planned.

USS Benson Class **Updated 25MAR16**

I have finally fixed this as had been requested by many.

Hull A & B are the same camo as its the same ship. They rep the USS Bancroft in her MS31/6D camo.

Hull C is still my original skin with the info below.

So after much time and a request that was made, I finally finished her. This is the Benson in her MS-32/3D camo.

I had to make some adjustments due to mirroring to both hulls but the camo is pretty spot on.

Gearing

Here's a skin for the USS Hugh W. Hadley (DD-774). Now she was a Allen M. Sumner Class DD but since the Gearing is just an upgraded version went with the look of the Hadley. She is in her Measure 31/32 Design 25D she had on in 1944.

The file will have the Hadely and a version that does not have the hull number.

Fletcher Class **15MAR16

Created a skin for the stock hull that make her the USS Foote in MS31/18D which she did use. Once you go to the final hull you get one listed below.

This a representation of the USS Saufley DD-465. She is named after LTRichard C. Saufley (1884-1916) who it says helped with the technological development of naval aviation, focusing on seaplane development (wiki). She is in her Measure 31 Design 9D camo. This is what she had on after being updated to the standard five twin 40mm and 7-20mm AA configuration at Hunters Point NY, October 15, 1944.

The file offers 2 versions of the ships, one with the hull number and one without.

Iowa Class **Updated 09MAR16***

I was asked if I could make other camos for this class since she has 3 hulls. So I did. The Iowa in a 1944 look, Wisconsin in her MS22, & u know the other.

The file now has all 3 hulls as you can see. When you open the file it will give you the Director file & Gun/AA Gun folder since they are the same for all the ships.

Now each ship has different Secondaries. So it will be up to you to change them out if you like, and the same goes for the Main Gun. Her guns are the same on the Montana so they will be changed

The USS Missouri (BB-63) the "Might Mo" Hull C offers both the weather or clean versions.

She's seen in the Measure 32 / 22D camoflage she wore in the summer 1944 during her shakedown cruise. The last photo I saw of her in this look was said to be March 1945.

Enjoy.

Montana **Updated 12DEC15**

File now has both the clean and weathered versions

Hi everybody. This is a skin I made for the Montana for Drewnei, and I would like to thank Business6 for helping me out today :honoring:.

Well to the skin. Since this is totally a what if skin, I decided to go with the camo we see today on the USS North Carolina. I went this way because it works with my guns on my Iowa skin. This is a mixture of the MS32 / 33 camo.

North Carolina

This was a request from AbaddonWar. The USS North Carolina in the MS 32v11 Design 18D camo style. This skin is only for the final hull but due to the guns being the same for the standard hull, you will see the  camo on them. I had to play with the camo in certain spots in order for a few minor thing to work but nothing really major

Clemson

I had quite a few battles today and saw many Clemson DDs. So I figured why not make a skin for her.

So I did a skin that represents the USS Reuben James DD-245. I created a skin for both files. I give you her look in 1939 on the original hull, & for her upgrade I added what the White Ensign Model site says was her camo in 1941...though I'm kind of

For those that don't know the Reuben James (I had to look it up) was assigned to convoy escort in March 1941, and it was during an escort missions that she was sunk by U-552 on October 31st, 1941.

USS Mahan **Updated 28MAR16

This update adds camo to Hulls A & B. They are the same, so the camo is carried over.

As you can see she reps the USS Cassin in a proposed, but from what I read never applied alt version of MS31/21D.

Hull C is the USS Reid in MS32/23D.

Also in this file is an old but still great piece of work by Pissekragen. Its thanks to him I was able to do the Reid so quickly.

Its the USS Mahan DD-364 in her MS31/23D. Now this look is for Hull C...guns are included.

Gnevny

Did this one last night.

I came across a paper model of the Razumnyi (name probably spelled different) from her time in the Northern Fleet and felt like the DD in game needed it.

She shares the same guns and torps as the Prem DD Gremyashchy. So I've made a slight color change on the main gun but it works great with either ship.

Ognevoi

Decided to make a totally not historic skin for this ship, but she looks good. The camouflage around the bridge changes when you get the upgrade. Added some kill marks for giggles by the bridge.
This is a camo I would see maybe being used up in the Arctic/Norwegian  waters.

Kiev
I based this style off the British style camouflages. I still feel a bit uneasy with it  but people that have tested out for me seem to like it so.
The guns are used on about 4 ships...so I can't camouflage them. So I have to work with styles that allow me to blend the standard blue with the camouflage.

Tashkent
Well here's m version of the Tashkent. I went off a design similar to a Dutch Destroyer during the war.
The file will contain a light and heavier weathered versions.

Wakatake
Went with the IJN Karukaya of the class. Now I'm not sure if the hull number is correct...though she was part of the 32nd Div.

Udaloy **Updated**
I changed the color I had used to this.
Well here she is. I went with a light US Gray for the hull and changed the deck color. The file does include a rust free hull option.

Khabarovsk
Well this is the end of my Russian DD Line.
The file has both Clean and Weathered options.

Any issues please let me know, and enjoy

USS Chaleston (Erie Class)
I had started on this  very long time ago but never got around to finishing it. I finally got to her and what you see the the USS Charleston PG-51.
Below her is just a version i did for buddy.

Pensacola Class

I had started this a while back but never finished and since I was off today figured I would.

This file contains both ships. The stock hull give you CA-25 the USS Salt Lake City as she looked in 1941, done in the Measure 3 camo with the false bow wave seen on Measure 5.

The later hull is the Pensacola herself as seen in 1944 in the Measure 32 camo.

When you change into the later hull you will have to change the Main Gun file. Unless you like the version seen on the Salt Lake

Wickes

This was a request and figured I would put it here for those that want it.

Moskva **Updated 20JUN16**

So I created this one based of an Italian camo. The under hull is a dark green and I named her after the Russian Cruiser Varyag, which you can see on the stern of the hull now.

You'll have 3 options.

(1) Dark Splinter camo (2) Splinter camo (3) That four tone camo we see (4) Soviet Style look. Camo 2 will have the option for no hull number.

Kirov Updated 26SEP16

Here's the update to go along with the others

Budyonny and Chapaev

I wanted to do a Russian CA package but due to work it would take longer than I wanted. So i'll be releasing them as I finish them.

For camo..it was a bit hard to pic style due to shared files and the look of the ship.

So seeing as the West always says Russia copies their equipment..i went that way with camos.

These are style seen on Allied ships in the War.

Each version will also have the soviet gray style and option for hull number on one of the hulls.

Seeing as I'm running out of room...i'll probably be adding skins on the whichever page this thing is on.

Dimitri

I had this about 90% complete when I decided to stop, but my OCD wouldn't allow it to remain the dry docks :D.

I had originally planned on working on all 3 hulls. I started with the last first as I liked that camo look the most. I had finished it and gave it to a few people but more people have asked for it, so I'm putting it up for you guys.

The camo styles are British with the one you see based off the HMS Renown 1942. Hull A and B would have been based off the HMS Malaya and Prince of Whales. I totally like the style so am glad this last one came out pretty cool.

Remember this is only for the Final Hull.

USS Indianapolis

The first time I heard of the Indianapolis was from Jaws when I was a kid. Then from countless history shows, tv movies, books, and then at Navy Boot Camp. I even have a model of her. Needless to say the story is a Proud ship with a tragic fate. Yet, I'm glad she's in the game.

Now I could have done a the camo styles she used but I decided to use the last Measure she wore in July 1945, Measure 22. I cleaned the deck up as much as I felt would be fine.

The gun file will make a slight change to the Pensacola guns but it will be fine.

Molotov

I'd been wanting to make one for her, so seeing as she looks like an Italian Design. I went with that. The camo is based off the Italian Light Crusier Muzio Attendolo of the Condottieri Class

The color on the main and secondary guns will change the Kirov look but that's ok.

USS Arizona

While I have no issue with the camo the use in game since its historical for the most. She just didn't have that deck blue. Yeah, I know there calling her a "later version" but still :D .

So this is simply to add the deck, and un-dirty the main gun blast bags some if you want to change the bags out.

I really do like these custom skins that you made. I wish WG can implement something like this into the game like they did with the camouflage patterns in WoT. Example: If you don't want the Iowa as the ship name you can add the Missouri's paint job.

How do you view the skins when you're making them? Do you need to export the files and replace them in the game folder each time you simply want to check something and then log in to view their progress? Or is there a program you use to render their 3D models?

Also love the senjo skin, skins look great :>

currently no program to render them with the skin on without a lot of hassle for it. and I mean A ton of hassle

But you can make your own res mod folder so you can drag and drop the new textures in without having to write over the original files

welp

how to make a res mod folder!

first  go to the Paths file open it in notepad and type this in

Spoiler

Now go to the main warships folder and make a new folder called res_mods. In there make the 0.3.0 folder

Now when it comes to skins you need to match the folder layout in the normal res folder so if you take a texture from a Japanese ship like a destroyer the folder layout would be

res_mods<0.3.0<content<gameplay<japan<ship<destroyer<textures    (add in the texture folder that's where you would drop your new files)

obviously these are folders with in folders. So if it was a JP battles ship it would be

res_mods<0.3.0<content<gameplay<japan<ship<battleship<textures

Or if it was a gun skin

res_mods<0.3.0<content<gameplay<japan<gun<secondary<textures (put new texture here)

If the game updates, change the 0.3.0 to the desired update number so like 0.3.1 or whatever they call it.

btw props to MajorRenegade for first posting how to do this

It is an amazing work!

However, I point out 1 mistake to you.

http://i.imgur.com/yEx3Ufb.jpg

You used wrong spell on Kagero class Hayashio.

You wrote "ハヤツオ" but it is pronounced "Hayatsuo".

Right spelling is "ハヤシオ". Spelling of other ships are correct.

Did that make sense?

I'm sorry for my poor English. Thank you.

Hey Cmurame....yeah Thanks for pointing that out. It was mentioned in my original thread and I just haven't had time to fix it. Her along with another Kagero are off. They were the only ones that MrJc(he does the names for me) and I couldn't find to much information on when it came to the name :D

Also, like in my original thread. If any of you guys find extra information on ships..please feel free to let me know as I'm trying to make these as accurate as possible
