Damn, I'm disappointed.  I thought it was a code for something cool.

What if it's Russian morse code?

-.. д

.- a

.-. p

-..- ь

.-.- я

I think it spells "Dasha" in Russian morse code

дарья перова

nah, that would be too easy and the . and - don't add up anyways.

oh, and here, I recorded it for easier deciphering. (hint: use slow motion if it goes by too fast)

Regardless of whether it is Russian, Chinese, Zambian or any language, the characters are the same and are based on the "English" alphabet.

There is no Cyrillic Morse code, nor Mandarin, nor Japanese, nor Arabic....nor Klingon.

Thank you.

In that case allow me to correct the message as I read it from the flashes:- T 4 T A A V A A

Oh look! The Cyrillic characters equate to those Latin characters used in Morse! :amazed:

(Shakes head).

As I said....there is NO Cyrillic Morse code. There are only additional "bits" used for special non-Latin characters.

There is no "dit-dah-dit-dah" in the message.

Read once again what I have said about the flashes, which are:

dash = T

dot-dot-dot-dot-dash = 4

dash = T

dot-dash = A

dot-dash = A

dot-dot-dot-dash = V

dot-dash = A

dot-dash - A

The spaces between individual dots and dashes are in accordance with the "rules" for Morse transmission (whether it be visual or aural) and the spaces between the groups of characters are correct in order to make up the full "word", i.e., It cannot be anything other than "T4TAAVAA.

It doesn't matter whether it is a Russian sending it or a Mandarin-speaking Chinese because the characters in the message are as per the International Convention for Morse Code.

Maybe he's a programmer with WG who has something to do with the Tier 4 ships.

Or he's signalling that he wants a cup of tea. (T 4 Taa Vaa):)

After starting another thread on this I was pointed to this one. Here is my initial post

Block Quote

There is one light in the port sending Morris Code.  If I read it right the message reads-

- . . . . - - . - . - . . - . .

If there are breaks specified I don't recognize them so it leaves a lot of possibilities.

A couple of random tries I did.

6QLD and BANKUI

The possibilities for the first character are (T,N,D,B,6)

The Possibilities for the last character are(E,I,D,L)

Be interested in anything else someone might pick up on.

Interesting to find I apparently got the last bit of dashes and dots wrong.  Since JarvisBay can detect pauses, or spaces in this I bow to his superior talent of determining what it says.
