Fleeing the red fleet in my SheNoKnowMe, clear open waters when wham - dead stop in the water. This of course delights the reds just 4.9km behind me. I die. There's nothing on the map nor visible in the water.

The map name is "Trap" (how appropriate).

It happened in the vicinity oh, E to G, columns 7 to 10? (Don't have the map in front of me).

I don't know if it's always there or a "Ghost Island" that moves around. Others in the match said "been there done that" on that map.

Hope you can check it out - thanks!

I've had the exact same thing happen to me on that map. Just sailing at full speed then boom full stop and stuck.

Will test the map now and report my findings.

I set to task searching the mentioned area for the black hole of doom.

While I was not able to reproduce the issue I do recall others with a similar situation on that map. Also that patch of water is massive so I may have missed it.

If you can narrow down the search area for me I will try again.

What grid square is it in that might help us find the spot? :)

Could not repeat the result though there is some shoals near one of the islands, but I couldn't run aground on them.

Probably need a ship large enough to get snagged on the bottom, Wargaming does not have any hidden factors like tides to worry about do they?

I always video record my games. Then, I can discard the file if it isn't needed. It helps if and when I encounter something amiss.
