As many of you probably already know the USS Hopper is in port tomorrow.

I am going with my wife as her +1 to a reception and to schmooz with the crew.. :B

Any other people invited to this reception who read this forum and have been lucky enough to go?

Is there anything the community would like me to ask about?

For sure I can definitely ask them about modern day gunboat diplomacy in the Post Colonial world and Post Cold War world and if they all watch "Hunt for Red October" every Thursday and "The Last Ship"...

since my navy small talk is oriented around worldofwaships I was wondering if there is anything you would like me to ask the crew about:

  • Navy Life :hmm:
  • Deployment Life etc:look:
  • I usually ask people what their experience is like in whatever career they chose and how different it was from expectation or from recruitment brochures:child:. What were the pleasant and unpleasant surprises for them.:panic_fish:

Obviously they are probably not interested in WoWs tactics so lolz to that one..:honoring:

Is the reception on the ship?  They giving you a tour?

Served on LABOON (DDG 58) and GONZALEZ (DDG 66) as well as other platforms within a 20 year period.  You should have a great time for sure!!
