It is good and it is pretty. I would say it is decent in power, weaker than a Benson in some areas but stronger in others, being compared to the best T8 DD is not a bad thing.

In weird news, in the last month, Lo Yang has actually passed and climbed beyond the 50% winrate mark.

Lo Yang is nuts fun.  I wish it had a 5th gun and more powerful torps... or an actually sensible 5.58km Hydro.  But, shes rather fun.

I don't have a high win rate in her but do have lots of fun.

5.58 hydro range would be dumb. German xd don't get that till tier 10 they get 5.8, at 9 it's 4.8 or so.

Maybe a 3.8 or 4.0 tops

Yes, fun boat. Not perfect or OP but a solid DD.

There are reasons why T-8 Lo Yang is cheaper than every single T-7 premium ships except Sims. There are much better ways to spend your money.

Lo Yang is easily tied to be second best dd at tier 8. She is cheaper because destroyers always cost less than cruisers and cruisers cost less than bb and bb less than carriers in terms of premiums.

Expect the Enterprise to be a 60 dollar ship.

Lo Yang is a one-trick pony. Benson is an overall better ship. While Scharnhorst/Belfast offer more option versus their tech tree sisters and enrich the play, Lo Yang makes the owner to focus on very specific play style. If OP is obsessed to close range hydro/smoke DD play and want to spend $33 on it, then sure, it's a pretty ship after all.

a

Can't say that it is better then the Benson, hydro nice, but not a game changer and would love to have the fifth turret back vs anti-air capabilities.  Have over 100 battles in her, enjoy to a certain extent, but would not recommend for purchase.
