CLEARLY Pigeon_of_War will be wishing for my happiness, specifically in the form of introducing the premiums HMCS Haida and HMS Barham (circa 1917) into the game.  Clearly.  And not deleting my account again.

This is CV-6, CVN-65 was the next ship to carry the name Enterprise and also got the same nickname as the Big E.

Since it kind of sounds like he served on CVN-65, I'm betting he knows that ... :)

How many 1st-time CV players will we see in T10 matches once this is released?

No kidding.  A T8 premium CV...I see a lot of rage in upper tier matches for a couple of weeks after she is released.  "Nope, never played a CV before...but I'll jump into Tier 8 and give it a shot..."

Cautiously-optimistic about this.  Peregrinas may not be voicing a popular opinion but he's very right in that releasing Enterprise before the CV rework is complete bodes dangerously for WG.  It would be a great insult if she were left unsellable due to becoming OP.

I doubt this is avoidable due to her popularity, but Enterprise might also become the next Tirpitz.  Popular and somewhat simple to learn (I mean, Anerican CVs in general are simpler than IJN ones), but difficult to do well in.  Making her a sight to dread on one's team would be an utter disgrace to her legacy.

I usually am not so opinionated when it comes to warships, but I really want the Big E to be a successful premium.  The Yorktown-class and her in particular are one of the few American CV designs I like.

Another premium CV? Has the CV rework been cancelled? At this rate we won't be getting any CV rework since it will involve changing stats on three premiums.

Not one for carriers but she does look pretty.  I just can't play the carrier...  Think the only ones I'd personally buy if they were to come to game would be the Intrepid and the Graf Zeppelin

Well, the Intrepid is from the same class, isn't she? So we probably won't get her too...

T1-3: Erie, Smith, Derski, G-101, Katori, St. Louis, Bogatyr, Friant, South Carolina

T4-6: Izyaslav, Clemson, Danae, Yūbari, Kaiser, Kamikaze, Königsberg, Omaha, Kongo, Bogue, Duca D'Aosta, Cleveland, Aoba, Perth, Ryujo

T7-9: Shiratsuyu, Sims, Mahan, Atlanta, Belfast (gift from YureiKuma), Ranger, Saipan, New Orleans, North Carolina, Alabama, Lexington, Iowa, Missouri

GoalsIJN: Hiryu, Mogami - USN: Benson, Baltimore, Essex - KMS: T-22, Gneisenau - HMS: Leander, Fiji - VMF: Podvoisky, Budyonny - MN: Duguay-Trouin, La Galissonnière

Well Big E was classified as a Yorktown class, while Intrepid was an Essex class.  Only reason I'd want her to be honest is due to it being the only museum ship I ever had the opportunity to visit.  Wargaming had a Let's Battle even on her not too long ago down in NYC.  I was going to it until work decided to get in the way, was so disappointed :(

For the love of god Wargaming, please remove the atrocious Citadel hit noise

Sincerely, a Tinnitus sufferer. (Edit 7/7/16 - Thank you soooooo much for the change Wargaming)

When I first joined the World of Warships team a little over a year ago, one of the things I noticed that was missing from our line up of ships to come and ships at present was the most decorated ship in the United States Navy. A ship with such a proud linage that to this day numerous other vessels and even spacecraft have held it's name. After talking with our very talented team in Saint Petersburg, Minsk, Cypress, and many individuals in our San Francisco office, the quest is almost over. It is with a small amount of pride, I gladly say, Soon....

I STILL can't believe we turned her into razor blades. Boggles the mind.

Her and the Bunker Hill.

B.H. holds a special place for me as she used to be moored at NAS North Island in the 70's. My dad had a pass that got us everywhere on the base. We drove by her. There was a gangway to her and I think my 1o or so year old self almost managed to get my dad to stop and let me see if they'd let me come aboard. She was still majestic all those years later.

Exactly how I remember her.

People tried to have her purchased as a Museum ship for San Diego ( Midway was still active duty and years away from being the gem museum ship she is now ), but sadly there wasn't enough money or interest.

They towed her out, listing, to the breakers in Tacoma.

Just plain painful...

"Fate: Although struck from the Naval Vessel Register, her hulk was used as a stationary electronics test platform at San Diego until November 1972. Sold for scrapping in May 1973. About 600 tons of her armor plate have been put to use at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory." So The Bunker Hill is still serving in one form.

Glad the "E" is coming to the game.

I thought I had heard or read at some point Halsey had said he was fine with what happened; better that; than the ship getting turned into a badly run museum ship...

Honestly as historically important as she was Enterprise should've been handed over to and maintained by the Smithsonian. Better than most of what our tax dollars get spent on.

That looks like a 2-2-2 loadout on Enterprise's deck in the promo card so the BIg E is likely to be a very IJN-like USN CV.

As for the CV rework, Enterprise and Kaga won't be exempt from whatever changes are made. Just like how premiums weren't exempt from the detection bloom changes.

 HMCS Haida

Speaking of which, when will we be getting the Haida in the game? Like Pigeon I wanted the Enterprise, but the Haida was the ship that I truly joined the game for.

If WG has any sense they'll release Haida on July 1 this year.

I don't think there is enough time for a Jul.1 release...

Maybe in time for Dec. 26th, boxing day?
