I think this game will go from Good to Great if they can find a way to bring Submarines into the fight. Maybe have a the subs remain on the surface ( where they are vulnerable) then have the ability to dive for a short period of time to fire their torpedoes. The set up could be similar to the aircraft carrier mode. then the Surface ships can counter with the addition of depth charges. Thoughts?

Torpedoes don't have any friends. So they will kill everything in their path. To prevent team kills we should all watch out where we fire those fishes. That means each and everyone of us, DDs of the second line!

No my name does NOT refer to those things from Odysseus! They refer to those loud things attached to a fire truck. Not to beautiful girls singing on the Ocean.

Ships in this game can sink completely in shallow water...and they would have to model the sea floor on every map for this to happen. Stop asking for subs.

Why do these fools keep asking for slow, limited arc torp spammers, when the same fools whine constantly about invis-firing destroyers and 'unstoppable' carrier TBs?  Oh right,  so they can attack warships without any hope of people shooting back.  Sorry, didn't see the obvious. :yes_cap:

I'll make you a deal.  Name 1, just one fleet vs. fleet action that submarines took part in.  Not scouting ahead of time, not cleaning up after, not ambushing the unsuspecting.  One engagement while shells were flying, that subs took part in.  Manage that and I won't tell you where you can put your suggestion.  I'll wait. :read_fish::popcorn:

That's right, none!  So go take your suggestion and [REDACTED] [REDACTED] [REALLY REDACTED] [MORE REDACTED THAN HILLARY'S EMAIL SERVER RECORDS] then bury it in a small unmarked grave, and hope no one saw you.

They'll add subs after Russian aircraft carriers :D.

Seriously though, weren't WW2 subs known more for commerce raiding / hunter-killer operations...and not fleet sorties?

Yeah pretty much so. I would think they could add them into a PvE scenario  where you are commerce raiding, maybe throw some Q-ships at your or maybe a destroyer. Subs are so slow, not sure anyone would really want to play them. On the surface their speed picks up but they would be easy to smack around.
