That's great Ghost! I hope we get a video contest or something next, video editing I can do, audio...Or graphics... Not so much.

*tries Garageband*

Hey, this isn't so bad!

Thanks and I wish I had garage band, loved that in class when I was in high school over a decade ago. Also wish we could get some video related stuff though not sure what and how.

Quick question: Is the original song subject to copyright?

It is our song and we are allowing you guys to use it for this contest only.

Thanks. Niko said "you could even make it sound totally different" so I took that as being able to make a rearrangement. I could be wrong.

This is true, as long as it has elements of the song in it, you are just fine. Even an arrangement.

Are you able to say if my entry is acceptable? I worry a bit that some of the elements of the original song might be lost to some.

Oh it's definitely acceptable. I could make out the original song. If you feel you want to change it or anything, you still have two weeks. :)

Quick adjustment to the rules. You are also able to upload it as a youtube video.

I once told myself: "I'll take part in any contest, as long as it does not require me to draw stuff". Guess it backfired on me since I'm not a skilled musician (or even a musician to begin with). Buuut, it's something I can actually give a try. Still hoping for a video contest... or writing (please do a writing contest sometime, pleasepleaseplease). For now, here's what I got:

Maybe I'll try to make some improvements later on, but I'm not sure I'll have much time to do it.

The Equestrian Royal Navy is the best navy!

Hehe.

Well done.

I'd love a video contest, only thing is I have no way of recording my screen plus as I play on a Mac, I have to run everything on low graphics. If we got some raw footage to work with...

Not bright, but they are walking fail memes...

YouTube vidoes can be converted into any number of audio file formats. Quite easily.

Go to this website to convert the file.

https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/mp3-converter

Paste this link of the video into the website prompt as the YouTube video link and click the appropriate button to convert it.

https://www.youtube....h?v=Ui-R28fd5ac

After you convert it, download it. <Be advised it is likely you will see another window open on its own for advertising something - like securing your pc, who knows what... just close the window/tab, ignore it>

When the download is complete, In windows 10, look in your Downloads folder for the d/l file. Happy editing.

You should have added to the rules that it actually has to have lyrics and a voice. Music alone is not a song. Someone has to be singing.

Because I'm very disappointed in the variety of remixes that have been made (they're all pretty much just the same song again), here is the complete set of quick commands in .OGG format: http://sta.sh/21dkc6hj61g5?edit=1
Get to work, chop chop!

Mine isn't too terrible, but it's basically a hip hop/synth heavy track that cuts to the Cap song halfway through. Not the greatest thing ever, but the synth/hip-hop parts kinda keep the tone of the Cap song and the cut isn't too too bad. I'll take it - not a musician and this is my first time using Garageband in years.
