I average about 10 K damage with my T5, always up tiered to t5-7 matches. Today lots of 3 to 7k damage totals. Either hide or play, so I go out there and don't last long in it. Much better play in my T6 Cleveland. Just played a match and did 67K damage with it, lost about 5 k health.

I have worked my way up to the T6, and while the sample size is fairly small I have yet to be able to make the French line work for me.  The shells just seem unreliable to me - AP is so-so and I have had the HE shatter on a broadside DD (wish I had saved the replay).  They are unreliable as fire starters and I feel like they need to start fires to turn in decent damage numbers.  I keep trying with them to see if I can find something that will work with these, but I haven't hit on it yet.

I  have it.....

Compared to Cleveland, very low DMG output. Pretty, though. Engine boost puts it to about Cleve speeds, AA will never be Cleve grade.

Why does the T6 have such low stock speed? Like the speed boost is supposed to make you faster than other cruisers - not make you as fast as other cruisers. LOL. What is great about the speed boost is it allows you to do some great throttle work around islands to stealth-fire.

That's the thing with French Cruisers.  It's like WG balanced the line as if they had Engine Boost running, not without it.  Hell I remember Notser commenting about that while playing HIV, but the ship has been buffed since.  Regardless, this is a recurring, actual theme for French Cruisers.  Algerie, Charles Martel handle like pigs without Engine Boost.  Only with that consumable active do they sail any decently.

That's why the engine boost mod 1 is a great thing to have. 4:30  running time.

Some games, no damage at all (T6-8). Try your engine boost against the T6 Perth popping smoke. Game is over for you. In fact, once set on fire with HE, Perth works on other targets while you burn and cant return fire.

I'm definitely loving the Emile Bertin right now.

One of the fastest cruisers in the game, good torpedoes, good guns, good AA.

The only negative I can think is her armor and rudder shift.

Other than that, she's a gud bote.

Its good, then you will wonder what was the plan for T6. Without B hull and range upgrade, real bad !

De Grasse was the plan for T6. 35 knots, and 7.5 reload. Now we know why La Gal is real bad.

Instead of 31 kts and 10 sec reload. Just got confederate in last Cleve battle, 106K damage. What a difference with the French T6.

BTW, British T6 and T7 were good also, while T8 (my current one) gets uptiered into T8-10 battles against Zao, Neptune, Minotuar, and the fabulous Belfast, so not so effective.

Hi, I'm trying to use your mod, but when I try and extract the file, Winzip encounters an error "Extracting res_mods\0.6.4.1\camouflages.xml     Unknown compression method", which prevents me from accessing the files.

My problem with the French line has been so far that it seems like when I am spotted, everyone just stops what they are doing and focuses on me. I can't believe how fast I go from no one looking at me to 4,5 or 6 or more on their team and BOOM I am gone. It is seriously depressing.

I have had Farraguts delete me when trying to help a DD cap. They charge you since your reload is slow. One torp and a few DD salvos is all it takes.
