This is where I suggest ideas right? I am only just a Master Chief Petty Officer, not one of those "fleet admirals" with like 18 000 post, but whatever. WG how about we add a quick message, using one of the function keys- I think F10- F12 are free right?- anyways we should have a new function key that does something, with the message "enemy torpedoes incoming" or something like that (you expected me to put it for friendly torpedoes didn't you). Countless times i have seen ships (not just BBs) go straight lining and there is a broadside spotted DD well within torpedo ranges (from what I can tell). It is frustrating to see an unnecessary loss when it can be easily avoided if some inattentive   players were warned what awaited them, and NO this isn't just another DD nerf because DDs get torped as well. So, what i am saying is just have a way to quickly tell players if the y are about to get deleted so they CAN have a better chance evading torps.

BTW I am a russian cruiser main, I have eagle eyes when it comes to focusing destroyers, so i know how to hard counter them. This suggestion won't make their lives more difficult if the DDs are more careful, unless that promotes passiveness. Well this idea got its pros and cons alright? It would be still be nice if we could have a button like this.

A warning put out that player/ship X is firing torpedoes at player/ship y along with mini map pinging would be nice. However, it would still not justify bad launches.

Yeah Friendly Torpedoes you maybe should get full warning of and maybe some Torpedo trajectory lines in water so you know exact path and be able to take better evasive action, enemy Torpedoes on other hand are fine just the way they are now since even in real life back in WWI and WWII you would not get visual on the incoming Torpedoes until they were fairly close.

Yes, just what we need, a button that will let twits in chat more easily troll friendly players by spamming false warnings about torpedoes. Going to pass on this idea, thanks.

More useful F-Key messages would always be a good thing. there's a bunch in there that about useless anyway.

I would connect the warning to actually launching torpedoes to avoid just that.

maybe a "Torps Away!" quick command that is not target specific.  It could dual as whatever use players give it.

Only if it's for a player to warn an opposing Red player.

Like...

I unload a full set at 8k at a broadside Tomato Can and can spam the "WARNING"" button for 30 seconds as I wait in anticipation.

Funny I had a red dd do something similar to me in my Hiryu.  Not so annoyingly.  A simple "just keep doing what your doing" in all chat, no names, just that message. It was awesome he'd ninjaed his way somehow through an on goinging fire fight with my squadrons running sorties in the area chasing the red squadrons with my fighters while close enough to the fighting I was already detected.  I wish I could have high fived him through the monitor for a job well done.

Seriously? After all that's been done to DD's, especially IJN DD's, you want this, TOO?

What would the point of having torps be if everyone was told when the eff they were fired at them?!

My GOD. You BBabies will not effing stop until DD's are gone.

I drive ships. That's right, drive. I do not sail them. They don't have sails.

If it's enemy torps? no, if they get deleted they DESERVE it. This would litterally be a nerf to DDs, such a hard nerf infact DDs would be utterly worthless except RU.

Why did everyone think I said friendly torps, I clearly wrote that the quick message would be a warning for enemy torpedoes.

Also, this quick message would only be used by attentive and experienced players, and remember, these are  World of Warships players.
