No, just no.

.

I have seen enough BB drivers searching the edge of the map for that mysterious portal to the Ocean map to last a life time.  You know the ones, they go as far the opposite direction of the cap or base areas and hug the edge and say that they were being hit.... but are still 3/4s health or better.  They should die and if on my team, want them to die.

Better not be in front of me....CYA

I've seen carriers without planes run into battle and take a beating allowing the rest of the team to regroup, and counter attack.  Its amazing how players will focus on certain ships, a carrier is one of them.

I've been going in for ramming when I'm out of planes. If we were conducting a campaign then yes, what you suggest has merit. Otherwise, do or die. More likely the latter than the former.

Stalin Take it away.

Also can't help but notice only a very small number of votes for yes.....I wonder who voted for that.

My second reaction.

I'm so proud of this forum community for the near unanimous vote that this is a bad idea.

Just to clarify, this would be OPTIONAL. So if you just think its funner, or if you're misguided ideology equates game playing with the validity of your reproductive capability then by all means don't run.

This would be for those who would prefer to spare their team the points lost when their useless ship is sunk, or those who do not want to waste time in their life to sit around waiting for the enemy to sink them.

Still, it's a COWARDLY option that is pointless and stupid.

Probably already been said, but I don't think it's fair or reasonable to deprive the other team of XP and credits through spotting, damaging and sinking left over ships. It also offers no benefit whatsoever to the player leaving since their repair cost will be the same regardless if they're already damaged.

If you want to leave the battle, you can do so and play another ship until the match is finished.

Dude seriously....

Just go do co-op.

I can't tell you the number of times i have gone low but still managed to do damage and/or win a game.

If you dont want to waste your or my time at end of game simply drive towards (not away) the enemy...regardless if this costs your team ...simply sailing off to the sunset is 400% worse.

Because driving a CV into the enemy fleet takes no time at all and is such riveting fun.

Not to mention how frustrating it is to see your CV gifting points to the enemy like that.

At least in my system, he'd gift them less.

Read and learn from your own poll OP.

Scared is such a ridiculous term to use in regard to game play.

Ever had a real gun pointing your way or been shot at by a real bullet? That is scary.

Nothing in game is, at all.

It certainly does cost the other team some points. As a team they score the kill points, but the players don't - unless you give the kill to the nearest enemy.

But sealing off retreats then can become a tactic in the game, allowing more variation in play - and the same points if you spot and prevent the escape (damage cancels the flight per the OP).

But more generally, yeah maybe it costs some points. Except your game ends several moments minutes earlier with less boring game play and you get to use that time getting more points in a more entertaining game sooner.

See above

If you think Cowardice or Bravery exist in a game you have no concept of what cowardice or bravery are.

And you also seem shy of understanding pointless AND stupid. So maybe you should get some tutoring in English.

It has a point, as laid out.

And its not stupid, its rather well crafted,

What it IS clearly is not to your liking. And that is fine. But try to become a better human and grok that what you like or not does not make things stupid or pointless or not.

Look the more damage you do, the more experience and credits you get. With the new set repair prices, nothing is gained by doing this and the winning team loses experience points and the losers still have to pay the same repair bill. It is pointless to allow surrender or retreat off the map and would do nothing but prolong the game for no good reason.
